It is a good series to fill in between other better series coming out. They get a bit better as they go along to. I have a couple like that. Charlie Bone is another filler series.

Thief Lord was a really good book. The movie they made out of it was horrible though! I'm hoping they do much better with the Inkheart movie. I'm a pretty big fan of Funke's stuff.

My nine year old was wanting to read Stardust. I checked it out, but I decided to read it first to make sure it was OK for her. I decided not to let her read it yet, but I really did enjoy it myself. It turned me onto Gaiman's other books.

The fifth book, 'The Time Paradox', was much better than the book before it. Arty was a lot more conflicted in this one. It made things interesting.

Is this the one by Cornelia Funke? If so I read it. It was a pretty good story. I am a big fan of her Inkheart series as well.

I have a Neopet that has refused to read a few books now. He keeps saying they are boring. Is there a way to coerce him into biting the bullet and reading them anyway?
