Re: Atlas of the Ancients
For what it's worth, I just got the Molten Rock from Meltdown, so they're still being awarded. I got the Fire Muffin after 6 successes, I think, and the Molten Rock after about 12. I'm not completely sure on the numbers--I wasn't keeping a tally, and I kept going off to do other things while I ...

Re: Atlas of the Ancients
That's not even the worst part.
The Roxton sprite is larger than the original sprite from the game - that means that this game, designed for the other (smaller) sprite, was difficult - but this game is much harder, because you're trying to squeeze a bigger character through those tight spots.

Re: Atlas of the Ancients
Great, more lame reskinned games. Volcano Run was terrible when it was new--why even bother redoing it? It actually makes the codebreaker one look good by comparison. I've stopped expecting much from Neo, but this is just sad.

Re: Atlas of the Ancients
you can find some obsidian to the left of Cog's Tog's. Maybe we need to build something with it along with items we buy there (at Tangor's Workshop)? Not sure if it's part of the plot or not, though.
The obsidian appears to be a new daily. I took a piece to Tangor's workshop, and while ...

Re: Atlas of the Ancients
Does anyone have any tips for the new game for the plot? I'm doing good to get 180 points right now...
I suggest taking it slowly and carefully--ignore the timer, it's only for bonus points that you won't get anyway, if you don't finish the level. Hearts are also worth bonus points...and keep you ...

Re: Atlas of the Ancients
I wonder how likely it is that the wind shifted and the drifted to Neovia? I don't think anyone mentioned that yet. It is always night there and stars are out. It is nighttime with stars in the last panel.

Re: Atlas of the Ancients
Just because he was mentioned by name, I went and beat up the Flaming Meerca in the battledome. No noticeable effect. (I also bashed Magnus the Torch and the Lava Ghoul while I was in the neighborhood, just on general principles, but that didn't seem to do anything either.) Maybe we'll get the ...

Re: Atlas of the Ancients
Yeah, I'm not actually concerned about the simplicity of the first step. This bit wasn't a puzzle. It was just a prologue, meant to get people started, and a map is a decent way to do that. It'll be nice if they've come up with some interesting ways to use the map item itself in the plot. Personally ...

Re: Atlas of the Ancients
Oof. That's some painful writing, even by Neopets standards. I hope there's some fighting and a few interesting puzzles (as opposed to boring clickfests) to make up for it.
I don't much care for the scent of real-money grubbing hanging about it, either, but we'll see.

Re: Altador Cup 4: Let the Games Begin!
Are people less interested this year because of the disappointment of last year's prizes? I definitely won't be playing as much, but YYB is so addictive!
The prizes are mostly irrelevant to me. I burned out badly on YYB getting my All-Star shield last Cup, and I'm also a lot busier with writing ...

Re: Awesome advent calendar style prizes! Get them NAO.
Today's news says: Due to some problems on Sunday not everyone got their regular prize or the bonus prizes from Rosie at the Springtime Celebration page. These items will be granted to those who qualified very soon.
Yeah, assuming their script to grant them works better than their Rosie code. Even ...

I haven't gotten it either, despite repeated attempts today. I've been hitting all of the obscure, unmapped places, too.

Re: Altador Cup III (2008) - Prizes and results are up!
By my calculations, I can get one of each prize, plus a spare of each book and an extra plushie...and I can't say I'm enthralled by any of them. The prizes are a pretty lackluster offering.

Re: Altador Cup III (2008) - Split 5
Ah, free at last.
Final tally:
YYB: 2,223
Slushie Slinger: 83
Make Some Noise:340
If I'd been tracking it more carefully, I might have stopped one game sooner, just for the symmetry of 2222 games. Ah, well. I don't know that I'll ever put this much effort into the Cup again, but at least I have ...

Re: Altador Cup III (2008) - Split 4
I've called AT&T, who is my internet service provider (after doing some digging, they have a habit of blocking sites on the cogentco.com network). The poor fellow I talked to had no idea what's going on, so he's referring me to the "next level up" of tech support, whatever that is.
