I imagine its simply a matter of priority. The altador plot is a background thing that I believe TNT said will remain open indefinitely. The Mysterious Voyage plot isn't, nor is the Altador cup. It only makes sense that they pause one to ensure that everyone has time to complete both if they so wish ...

I don't know if this has already been noted or not...but at the bottom of the News page, under the coming soon section, there is a note which says "A Mysterious Voyage Continues".

As the Altador Cup just started, its easy to assume they've just put the plot on hold to get the cup up and running ...
