I still refuse to use NeoPass, partly due to the paranoia that I can lose my account due to how my email providers tend to reject emails from Neopets, which is how I lost 2 of my side accounts through the years and needed to start a new one.

Ditto.. I've lost access to my side accounts too.. something along the lines of "not logged in for a long time"? I actually thought I lost access to my main account for the longest time. it took me emailing Neopets support over many years to finally land on someone who was able to help restore access!

There was a massive security breach so they blanket wiped everyone's passwords a few years back. Those of us with emails that couldn't get the automated emails had a fun time waiting on tickets to get back in. You can read about it here.

Neopets support has been somewhat better about getting old accounts back to people, if you can provide enough information. Always worth a try if there's still some sides you want to get back!

My original side account appears to still be in existence. Other than a tiny desire to rescue the pets that I "parked" there because of the fun pet names I created (no numbers), I am OK to just let it die. It had a throwaway email address for a platform that disappeared in 2010. I could guess that email address, but not the fake birthday I used.

Thanks for the info Pickles.. I'm going to give it a shot.. see if I can recover my old side accounts. If you don't ask..
