Ice Scratch Card SLUMP?

Mon Dec 06, 2004 4:27 am

Is it just me or did the buyers of the 8903-8908 disappear?

What do you mean by "buyers of the 8903-8908"?

If you are talking about a slump in the sale of ETS's, I have to agree. I watched purple neggs drop from 5900K to about 5200K in just a few hours and don't even seem to be able to give the ones I have away. No one is buying--no matter the price--I don't know if people just aren't playing today, the war is winding down or if the new shop wiz reconfiguration (21 lines--with a combo of both old and new lines) is messing things up.

*refresh the wiz* I got Purple neggs at 5200 on one search and 7000 in another. BIG moving around of stuff. I got a ton of HTS items sold yesterday because if it.

To put this a tactfully as I can think of, the #'s 8903-8908 refer to the scratch card kiosk's resultant page for each different scratch card in the ice caves.
20502-20507 I think are the #'s matching the Haunted woods cards. I have no clue on any other scratchcards..... I'l try getting a screenie soon to post.

Most people refer to them by name.

Race to Riches 8903
Terror Trove 8904
Faeries Fortune 8905
Peak O Plenty 8906
Icetravaganza 8907

They do fluctuate a lot. Demand right now are for war items. I sold my stockpile of snowballs for a lot the day the war started.

EDIT: I checked prices. There is little or no dip currently in prices. It is comparable to before the war right now.

Thanks, stampsyne for the heads up. I do think the market was soft this weekend for whatever reason. I did very little of the business that I usually do on the weekends with my ETS's. Maybe it is due to the holidays--people out shopping--and final exam time for H.S. and college players.
Or, people staying away because they are just plain sick of the hoochie coochies. Or, the new change in the shop wiz lines--because not everyone made it over to the new lines--which is why are you seeing prices for purple neggs on the new lines for 5200 and prices on the old lines for 7000--21 lines to deal with means a lot more competition than the 7 competitors you had to deal with before.

SHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I don't need reminded I have another one tomorrow night. Yuck... Night exams should be forbidden... It is right after dinner.

Normally my scratchcards go as fast as I stock them... I got to a point right before my questioning the I had 5 in there (found some who migrated to the SDB instead of shop on me.) the 4 r2r I had sold with my posting but the 8905... Fae Fortune is still there, cheap, and awaiting a buyer. I haven't been selling them well since shortly after the war started.

And I'm to lazy to type out the names and for over 2 yrs called them by thier #'s here w/ no problems till now. I never said prices changed, just the readiness of buyers.

There was a price dip at the start of the war, either people selling for quick NP, or demand lagged, or both!

I really WISH it was completely random. It kinda sucks that an item can be 50K difference between listings. It is easy money for me, but it still is upsetting that I can buy one item, check the pricing for my username, and if it's ggod, buy out the lower priced shops. I just did it with a card game card. Bought for 15K, sold for 40K. Ransom would make the 'skimming game' much more interesting, and much more luck related.

Skimming def. Buying items that are lower price in other Wizard search categories than your own.

I think this weekend's low sales on certain items is due in part to the war, people are buying weapons and alot! of cures, people are battling instead of shopping as much, if they're battling they're maybe not training - the main reason BD'ers buy TT scratchcards - for levels.

Also the swapping around of all the shop wiz searches and there's still some missing. Out of every 4 or so pages, I get a page saying nothing was found.

Finally, for alot of people games weren't sending scores. No scores, no np. So they're not going to shop as much if they're not getting anything in.

Hopefully tomorrow? when full staff is in, the shop wiz thing will be fixed, everyone will be able to play and send scores for games (I haven't bothered to try since hearing about this), and more people will drop out of the war. Then I think they'll start buying again. Especially once they realize that the holidays are coming up fast and they'll want to get prezzies for their friends!

I forgot about the game glitchy!

I always auction my scratchcards. I sometimes get 1865Np off my race to riches one.
