really. they always say they want to make things fair for everyone to get; well how hard is it to make it available twice? It'd still be fair because everyone would have the same shot at either time.
I've always thought this very unfair. My mother would NEVER let me be online at three am, so I won't get this until I move out and have internet of my own.

No different to the way that a number of people in other countries miss the release of Mystery Pics, Lenny Conundrums, and other various news updates because of where they live.
Unfair, possibly, but other things make up for it.

I wonder how hard it would be for neopets to rotate through hours so it's more fair. Like, one week the new Lenny Conumdrum starts at 3 pmNST, the next at 4 pmNST, etc.

I'm 100% free - and I don't have to comrpromise my own Halloween for it. Haha. Boy is NZ great. For those of you with awful midnight times, do you have laptops? If so, and you wake up - groggy or not - leave your laptop on, next to your bed all night, with neo set up. When your alarm goes off, if you have the strength to turn it off, surely you have the strength to press the F5 key, right?
And if you don't have a laptop, get a sleeping bag and sleep next to the computer.

I don't think it works that way.. I live in Australia and I still have to go by NST.. My midnight NST time is actually 7pm Wednesday local time, so I don't have to stay up into the wee hours of the morning. But I sleep really late anyway, so even if it was 3am local time, I'd still be up studying.

I'm sure that on that day, at around that time, neopets will have SEVERE lag. ALOT of ppl seem to want the sidebar, including me. I love it, and I think it's the best sidebar.

According to the neoboards (yeah, I know, very reliable source ), to get it permanently you have to refresh at the last minute of Halloween.

As itzipg said, to get it permanently you have to do the whole refresh thing. Otherwise, the sidebar is only for the day of Halloween, meaning it goes away the next day, like the birtday sidebar.

Yeah, everyone has it TEMPORARILY. Unelss you actually see an RE for any sidebar, it's temporary.

lol, I still remember when I got it by accident on the first year it was out. A few of us from PPT were chatting, and someone said, "Hey, I just got this RE on Neopets" or something. I was so happy because everyone was jealous for like the next year

i'm agreeing with all those that says this stinks. it's 9am for me. i'll be at work. maybe i'll just go in late or something. (though i do feel kinda sad arranging my day around neopets. if only my work didn't block any sort of 'fun' site)

Yes; like the birthday sidebar, it is available to everyone for one day (well, the birthday one twice, but that's beside the point). If you want it permanently, you need to get the RE around midnight NST.
