lexxia, I think having a table around your items would help quite a bit. Maybe having a table for a text area too.


I think Mayan is right. Your background is bit busy so a table with a solid background would help :)


Yeah, I ditched the tiled background. I put King Roo up instead... he's a bit fuzzy though.

You have a fair item count. There are alot more pirate items out there, but I know from experience that they are really expensive.

Your theme does lack a layout. A nice background and maybe a blog would be nice. However, TNT did say in the editorial that a layout isn't the most important thing.

I think it would also be nice if you'd rank your items. It would look a lot more organised that way. :)

Good luck for the spotlight! :) I hope they'll chose a pirate gallery to win some day. I looked at all the gallery winners and never has a pirate gallery won, can you believe that?


Hmm, I can prolly come up with a drawing or something for the background. and possibly a blog to go along with it.

The gallery that won last week doesn't have the same theme you do, so you still have a good chance to win the spotlight. Several theme's have won the spotlight more then once. Last weeks spotlight winner has even won twice with the same gallery, so you definitly have a chance! :)

I actually think your layout isn't all that bad! I actually quite like the colours and the blog with the little update thingy.
You could add buttons instead of those text links for your categories. For some reason I really don't like the standard blue catagorie links, but that's just a personal thing. Maybe you could add a sidebar too? Other then that I really would have no idea how you could improve your gallery. :)

Besides, TNT judges mostly on the content and not on the layout :)

Lexxia, did you upload the image yourself? It's ok to link directly to the neopets image in your gallery. So you don't have to upload the image yourself. :)

Wolf, tnt did say they like "original art", so drawing your own background and making a blog might help you win the spotlight. :)

Fructy, there is a really old item that i remember that i don't believe you have...
i think it was called sweetart chest or something along those lines...

Oooh, thanks! I never thought about searching for "chest" items. I also found and item called "Sultans Treasure Chest" and another one "Bagatelle Treasure Chest". I will definitly add those to my gallery.

I was trying to think of a cool gallery that has around 100 items. The carrot gallery is cool as is a pea gallery. I once tried to make a sand gallery but got bored b/c ther are so many items. Any ideas?

Yeah, that's a great idea! I was very impressed with your category images :) I'll definitely have to do something along those lines when I finally get around to updating the design.

Thanks Sigh_driven.....after looking through old gallery shop lights, I noticed alot of pirate themes, and theres not any Lutari ones....least not any I saw...so I thought it was the perfect idea.
