If the cellphone users gain access to "exclusive" new areas and ways of earning NPs, then two of TNT's own phrases come to mind: "unbalances the game" and "unfair to other players".... :roll:

what is the diff between what they are offering and accessing the internet on your cell and then going to neopets? I know people who do it.

In this case, the difference is that people who use the specified carrier and do whatever's needed to access the site via the phone will have access to special areas of the site and even special pets not available to anyone else.

So, that's kind of an unfair advantage and really does make a difference between the "free" site and the "pay to play" type of site that people thought premium would be (and isn't). With premium, you're really paying for the portal, webmail and no ads. You're not paying to access the site and you don't get a special pet or anything.

Any "special area" that can only be accessed via phone probably won't be very cool. I mean, they can't exactly have a really neat-looking world for cell-phone users or anything, because you can't see much on the little phone screen anyway. I'm not too worried about it.
