Actually, TNT makes everything available when the news is posted. Its true that sometimes they make mistakes and forget or look over it, but things like avatars were found an hour or so after the news coming out despite it being for the next day. Reason being, its already Halloween for some people who observe that holiday. TNT wanted to avoid having other parts of the world wait so that was the whole point of putting out the next day's updates "early" because of course, to us, its early. To some parts of the world, the next day is already here and the update is on time. Get it?

They haven't made everything available if the bags aren't released yet.

I'm aware that the update is when it's Halloween already for some. I live in Australia

Who says they aren't released yet? Because people here haven't found them yet at the links from last year? And its not like TNT can release them only for a certain time zone. They either are or aren't.

Likely though it's based on a programmed timer like certain annual and monthy events are (such as pet days and the freebies.)

Relax. There's a whole day to get the bags, wherever they are. Whether or not they are immediately available doesn't really make a difference.

Rune is correct, it's extremely likely that a program is set up to release them at midnight NST.

Ihave not found any in: Fairyland, Altador, kiko Lake, kreludor, maraqua, meridell, brightvale, darigan, mustery islnd, roo island, terror mountain, lost desert, virtupets, or shekukuu. I have look in all the clickables within these sections.

Haha, I sure know that. It'll be 9pm Tuesday night here before Tuesday's even started on neopets. Which is great for me - means I never have to worry about times (if you think about it, there's not really much I can't get due to time zone differences), and also, I never have to compromise a real holiday for a neo holiday.

But, no, they haven't been released. Mainly because things like contests and avatars generally aren't date specific - but none of the neopets are ready for halloween yet. Imagine if someone came to your house at, say, 8pm October 30th and shouted "TRICK OR TREAT!". Really, now, what would you do? I sure wouldn't give them anything. XD
Most day specific avatars aren't released until the day actually starts. Or at least, none that I've gone looking for. Heh. As Rune said, it's most likely on a timer.

Yes, I'm aware that Neopets sometimes uses a timer to release them. If they were released, someone would've found them by now..... ya think? Like I said, just because nobody HERE has found them, doesn't mean its not released. You are missing my point, thus I have failed. lol

Nobody anywhere has found them, and they're not exactly a puzzle. All you have to do is visit a location at the site to get the bag. If no one's found them since the news came out, with all those thousands of people clicking all over the place, they're not released yet. Which makes sense, because hey, Halloween is tomorrow in Neopian time, and it's Neopian locations giving out the bags.

haha i know all of that... i was just hoping they would be released with the news because i won't be home at all tomorrow. like i am leaving at 8am for work and then going out for halloween and coming back at 2 or 3 am most likely. so poo.

If I recall correctly, Trick-or-treating doesn't happen until afternoon NST, and when it does ... EVERYBODY will know. It's something all can easily get, just like the Advent Calendar in December.

They're being released immediately isn't really too important to me. you'd have to wait a few hours for them to deflate in price to hoard them anyway. and you'd have to wait to see what they can contain, so i can hoard that stuff too. i'm hoping them have the rarer spooky foods, so esophagor quests can become doable.

Actually that isn't so. TNT updates the news 1 day ahead. When a pet's day is advertised, the training isn't available until the next day (when it is actually the pets day) unless TNT make special mention of it.

Avatars have been released in the news but not available until the next day (usually a timed event avatar).


There is nothing different to this than any other news day. The news is for the 31st - which is Halloween.

Bags wont be available until after 12.00am 31st.

All the past years locations work. Now off to find the new ones
