stampsyne wrote:Worth it? It all depends on how you play neopets. If you want that big pay out every month from Plushie Tycoon, it is SO worth it. If you love to snipe of the Wiz and resell, it is very very handy to have the Super Wiz.

I don't find the 1000 np monthly gift, special REs, and the weekly Space Faerie Scratchcard to be worth it.

Because I might try out a month of premium, this caught my attention. Big pay out every month from Plushie Tycoon?. Premium increases it or something?.

Is anyone else having problems with Premium being glitchy today? I don't have any problems with it not showing up, but I am having problems with the sidebars and the quick links at the top. Every few pages, it reverts back to the standard portal theme (the yellow-ish Neopia Central one) and the quick links go back to what they were when I began using Premium.

Im having the opposite problem, my premium is taking forever to load up and sometimes it doesnt even load it just reloads onto the search site and says its not there..
Its gotten a little bit better but even some of the normal pages on neopets arent even loading, Im clicking refresh or return to blah blah place and the page just doesnt budge, apart from that everything else is fine lol

Gabby, that's when I'm getting the problems of the portal reverting back to its original state. It only happens when it's laggy, which has gotten better in the past 10 minutes or so.

The Premium Portal has a section on Plushie Tycoon tracking that can make playing much easier. Payout is the same for everyone.

* over 1,000,000 NP profit - 100,000 NP prize plus PT Champion trophy
* over 250,000 NP profit - 50,000 NP prize plus PT 2nd place trophy
* over 50,000 NP profit - 25,000 NP prize plus PT 3rd place trophy

My premium still hasn't returned so I'd like to write TNT about it, but where can I do this? Which form do I have to use?

WolfMaiden wrote:I've been wondering the same thing. I know you get access to the SSW and that sounds like it would be fun, and I know about the exclusive space faeire scratch cards, but in the end, is it really worth the money?

SO worth it.
I really don't have the money to spend either but somehow I can't seem to let go of premium!

SSW is better than fun, it is awesome -- you know for 100% certain you are getting the lowest price anywhere-- and without refreshing. In fact, if someone misprices or just lowballs an item, and you look it up, you are guaranteed to see it, as opposed to the regular SW where you'll only see it if you refresh the right alphabet sector of shops. I have probably made more money sniping in the 9 months since I got premium than in the previous five years of being on the game.

The 1000 NP a month (for monthly payers) is not going to make you rich but I certainly enjoy it! - I mean, it's free money, what can I say?! Ditto the Space Faerie scratchoff. Speaking of which, I've only ever won money from it, never any items. Anyone else?

However, I kind of discovered that I can get a special SHH almost every day by using the SSW! It isn't guaranteed to work, but I think what it does is increase your chance of getting the SHH. Like, if your chance is a 10% chance to randomly have a SHH email appear when loading a page normally, then after you use the SSW it jumps up to like a 90% chance. Still might not get one because of the randomness of it, but almost every day I get something because I make a special point to use the SSW even when I'm not going to buy anything. So, that's an extra NP award EVERY DAY (I think the lowest SHH I ever got was 200 NP, usually it's 500 and up) and probably half the time I get an item along with it.

I am not a forum person so I haven't really utilized that, except when I entered the BC that one time... *shrug* and I am no good at Plushie Tycoon, so I haven't used that either.

I DO love the quick links that they give you - you don't have to go to ppt or avatar.starried.net or anywhere offsite to get all your dailies done. It's wonderful! <3

So is not having any ads. It just about drives me nuts when I log on to my side account every month or so.

The other two things I like are being able to see your selected pet AT ALL TIMES when surfing the site. That was actually a pet peeve of mine long before Premium was a twinkle in anyone's eye. The only time you'd see your pet is when they were sad (no items or something) or when you played some of the non-flash games. Plus, you can see your items AT ALL TIMES. I would go on and on about that but there's nothing to say-- either you'd love that or you wouldn't care... I personally LOVE it.

Finally, whether this is fair or not, I truly believe that TNT pays better attention to premium problem reports. I always get a reply back, though some of the more generic problems (game bugs, etc) take a while. I've posted this many times and I'll say it again, I actually got to a point with one problem where I was basically "chattling" the customer support people directly through the problem report page. I sent a report, got a neomail back with a suggestion and directions to re-report if it didn't work. Did the suggestion. Sent a report. Immediately (within 1 min) got another response back. Did new suggestion. Sent report. Immediately gto response. And not just auto response, an actual response from a real person who was talking directly to me. THAT is awesome. I'm not saying it will happen every time or even ever again (it was a special problem) but honestly, real people do read and respond, and in a timely manner, and it's great to know that they do take care of the Premium members.

So, yes, I certainly recommend getting the trial. After I tried it out for a week, I was convinced I could never go back to regular.

oh and gee! look! *points to sig!* I have 18 referrals left! :)

My portal isn't working right now either. And, the fact that they seem to be working on stuff again could explain the glitch I experienced very late last night--the one that made my shop til nps disappear into thin air. :(

stampsyne wrote:clarinetman, PPT is a way to solve problems through tried-and-true people. A question is asked, and the same response is wanted as when asking any friend. One would be any useful information for confirmation of system errors versus personal computer errors. Two is a friendly listen to any problems that others have, even if you cannot help in any way.

Kudos, stampsyne. Couldn't have said it better myself.
