It's easier to fight the Lab Ray Scientist (if you have him as a challenger) in order to change your pets gender.
So I doubt the prices will change, unless people don't have the lab ray.

Have you actually tried refreshing on the appropriate page rather than just hoping to get him when you zap a pet? If not, then I'm not at all surprised.

I've been refreshing that page every day for 5-10 minutes ever since I got the lab over a year and a half ago. I have yet to get the Lab Scientist as a Battledome challenger.

It's not easier if your lab pet is weak and you care about your BD stats... the scientist can pack a punch, and sometimes you can go a couple fights before he even hits you with the strange potion. It's the best way to change from female to male, yeah... but I vastly prefer equipping the cape of the sun and fighting chia clown or whoever to go from male to female. 40k is still pretty cheap for a reusable, resellable item.

You what would be a cool thing for tnt to come out with to go with the cape of the sun, a cape of the moon. Which of course would work the opposite way female to male to pair the capes. Equal opertunity for gender swaping apparral

This is why all of my lab rats have feminine or neutral names. I wouldn't mind it if it started working the other way around as well, though; I doubt anyone else would mind, either. Can't imagine that many people are using it for anything other than gender switches--the stats are pretty mediocre.

A Cape of the Moon sounds pretty cool, though I probably wouldn't buy one.

I can't honestly remember because I've gotten him on all four of my accounts that have lab access within an hour or so. I.E. I refreshed every couple of seconds for about an hour, max.

I don't have him yet, and I've been refreshing for at least an hour a few days a week for as long as I can remember. Does it happen more quickly if you use IE?

That does raise an interesting question - what other items came out at the same time for the same shop? And do any of them do the female-to-male transform?
