Ok, I'm going to refrain from much comment as I have my own very strong views about TNT. And they are not good views. The fact that he was frozen just reinforces these views. It's called freedom of speech. TNT are becoming dictators when they freeze people who speak their mind. I don't totally agree with him, but I do NOT agree with most of the things TNT does.

This really annoys me... :x It's just a game for gods sake!! If you don't like playing it, then don't play. Why ruin the fun for others... You have to say thanks for the sponsers. If there werent sponsers, you would have to pay to play.

Can I just say, I never mentioned anything about Neopets, I was speaking about the staff, and their management of Neopets. They are the ones freeing the scammers, and they are the ones commerciallizing it, that doesn't make the game wrong, just the fact you get a bit annoyued sometimes my their poor moderation skills.

Are we talking about the guy on neopets? I've read a lot of his posts and he has made maybe 1 or 2 typos but compared to how most people on those boards type I think he's a pretty decent typist hah. Nah I think Cap disagrees with the guy's opinions and therefore criticizes his spelling. Even though he himself misspells "correctly". Funny really.

I won't point out your typo, other people already did.

He had to type that way to get past the filters. Many of those words are blocked by TNT, believe it or not.

Why? Because he has a different opinion than yours? His new account isn't frozen yet anyway. Although it says something about neopets trying to censor it or something.

I completely and utterly agree with you. I don't want to start a fight either. I was just clarifying my views.

I don't know why Neopets froze him. One could even consider that racism, discrimination against one persons views, though, the T+C I believe means that you must let them freeze your account.

that guy's partly right and i am saying this from my 3 yrs experience playing neopets. he's wrong abt good players are all cheaters and pretty right abt the rest.

recently, i met a very old neofriend by chance. she neomailed me from her gallery account regarding a trade, not knowing who i was. i suddenly recalled her gallery account and after we acknowledged each other after 2.5 years of separation. we chatted and she mentioned she was surprised that i was frozen knowing i never cheat. she told me her main account was hacked and frozen and TNT never gave her back. as we chatted, a thought came across my mind: "how many active players in neopets still have their first main account with them?"

as for TNT been very efficient in freezing reported accounts, it may not be entirely good. think of the number of "report this link" clicks per day and the number of moderators they have. go figure, either they really read through every report and investigate things through or they just react according to the number of particular clicks at that player. in the first case, if they can do it in less than a week, i would be amazed by their efficiency, but most likely it could be the second. this confirms what we already know: that players are largely not really important to them. if they start freezing accounts w/o properly investigating, then how important do they regard our accounts?

heh, maybe a more correct version of that fella's theory is " TNT thinks that if you are good, you are most probably a cheater unless you fall under their exclusive list of friends" and i am expressing my opinion

HHmmm....

Well to be honest, it really irritated me that he spelt cheater in that strange way, I know it's probably something to do with the filters, but still, annoying nonetheless.

Secondly, he doesn't appear to have put much ffort into it. I mean, a proper protest would be much more efficient with a website OFF of neopets, maybe a decently made user-lookup.

Although, to be honest, I don't actually agree with his sentiments. He appears to be just a sad little person who originally got frozen for something he didn't think was justified, and wanted to try and make people feel the same.

In fact, and I know this is not a generally reflected viewpoint, I think everyone should stop moaning and enjoy the game for what its worth. Like in life, you deserve to get punished if you break the rules, and whether WE think those rules are reasonable or not does not really come into it. It's their site and they should be able to make up whatever rules they see fit for its continued existant.

well, if your account is frozen for something you didn't think was justified, would that make you a "sad, little " person? how do you know his account got frozen for actually breaking rules? albeit his actions by washing it on the userlookup is unwise and over-the-board, but since some people have retaliatory nature, we shouldn't relate his retaliatory action to his innocence. such baseless assumption is similar to the "Alex" rogue moderator mentioned in the other thread.

YES, players deserve to get their accounts frozen for breaking rules. the point is did we? so far neopets rules are just as long as they are executed to precision, but not even the moderators can vouch for that, so how can you?

actually, for every player whose account was once frozen unjustifiably, they must have secret thought of doing something self-destructive like this fella did. i admit i nearly went down that route in a fit of anger but managed to quell it in the end. every email correspondance with the neostaff nearly always bring abt more frustration (auto-response, rude presumptious staff..etc) but i suppose most of us bite the bullet and respond with more courtesy (certainly so in my case). we have shown respect for these neostaff but are they actually showing equal respect by inspecting every case?
