There's a trick to correcting teachers: correct them in the form of a question. "I thought that the second declension didn't have feminine nouns?" "Don't apes lack tails?" It's less satisfying, but you're still right and they're still wrong.

You also don't sound as stupid if it turns out you're wrong and the teacher's right :P
(has done that before...)

Now this is very pathetic.
I have always corrected my teachers when they make mistakes, except when it's something very little no one cares about. heh
But yeah, it never happened to me that teachers take it any badly.
They said like : Oh, oops, my bad. Thank you Caroline.
That's all you know.. :S
Bah :D

You're lucky.

(I stuck this sentence in because I didn't feel I could justify a two word post, but now that I'm typing it I realize it doesn't make any difference and, gosh, it's taken an awfully long time to type it so I'm not going to remove it now.)

My teachers don't often make factual errors, but they do make a lot of spelling errors. "Knif," anyone?!

It's gotten to the point where if the teacher's not talking, I can walk casually up to the board, take a piece of chalk, and correct it without anyone actually caring except for maybe a little "Thank you, Marie."

But yeah, that's pathetic. Children should have a healthy mind and not be so gullible, and if a teacher teaches a child to be gullible, that should be a crime.

Those are very easy mistakes to make. I know that if I'm trying to write something on the board and I'm trying to talk about the subject at the same time, it's very common for me to spell something incorrectly. I usually notice it before my students do, but I don't make a huge deal out of it if a student notices a mistake like that.
