#31 Post by c5ac5b9 »

just won my second time. This one went back and forth for awhile. Tough bug.

EDIT: just won my third round and easily too.

1) two scarab rings and burrow, weak attack
2) two scarab rings and drain life
3) two scarab rings and snarl
4) two scarab rings and snarl

bug drops like it was hit with RAID.

I started with 78 HP, bug had 90
Strength : EXCELLENT (51)
Defence : GREAT (30)
Move : EXCELLENT (46)
Level: 85

Won my fifth. I think I might go for a 6th but that'll be risky and I'll have to get a freezer. And some advise for everyone, use sticky snowballs. They cost 500np only but can do 11-15 icons ;)

I finally defeated the bug. Once. Not going to try again. Took me a few tries.

Could someone tell me what "BURROW" is? I know it is something you use in the battledome, but what is it? and where can you get it? Is it a fairy gift, or something you can buy?

LOL that's a lot of question marks. :D :D

burrow is a faerie ability that blocks most damage and you can get it by blessing your pet with bottled earth faerie though you'll need at least level 10 and you'll have to activate it from your pet's page.

I reached 40... any further and I really am risking it... Even if the 40th battle was the first time my pet went below 1/4 health.

I COULD do two more safely (aka before it reaches 400 hp), but I like having my number of wins be divisible by 5.

I won 30 matches but the last win took 3 tries so I'm at about my limit

I'm not new to ppt i kinda lurk unless i have a question, but i am just having so much trouble with this bug, i have lost 11 times lol. Maybe more actually.
My pets endurance is just not high enough, i do not have the patience to try training it just to beat one bug, but i was wondering if anyone had any quick fix solutions, like neggs or i dunno, i would greatly appreciate it.
Btw, thank you for all your help because i wouldn't have made it through this far without being able to read some of your suggestions, so thanks!!

Glad I began labbing my pet. The first bug was easy (I went 111 wins against it; I could have gone well into 300 the way it was going, but my Internetz were clogged and I like the number 111), and this one... well, I could take it out no problem about twenty times (328 HP, 167 Strength, 23 Defence, 87 Speed; using a constant combo of Scarab Ring/Spider on a String with Drain Life at the beginning and constant Fierce Attack to follow it up).

Twentieth time, it came dangerously close to winning, but that seems to be a fluke; thus far, I've continued to kill it and it hasn't had such a strong run since. Although it is coming disturbingly close to my HP level...

I'd wager going thirty, thirty-five against it, forty with some extreme luck (and, um, use of a shield). Which is a sight better than I've been able to do with comparable plot enemies...

Now, hopefully, the puzzles will begin matching the opponents...

...Do we have to fight this? Or does it just mean more points when it's all tallied at the end of the plot? Because I have very very not-battledome compatible pets. The highest having 16 HP. >__<
I'm not sure because I beat the last one. Several times. I miss him. T__T
(I'll be back with a list of bd items I have because I still want to try no matter what)

Judging by the way the Tale of Woe plot worked (I'm so sorry I missed it. >.<) BD opponents are just tallied as extra points. I guess that's why they can get away with phasing out an opponent after about three days and make the step unavailable; just make it optional.

I accidently chose my alternate pet to battle this guy and he was easy to beat with these inexpensive yet effective weapons:

scarab ring, obsidian dagger, burrow
scarab ring, obsidian dagger, defend
scarab ring, obsidian dagger, defend
scarab ring, obsidian dagger, defend

Her stats are fairly high. I know the defense boost helped a lot. But I had half of my HPs left at end of battle. If you have lower HP or defense, get a scroll of healing. Maybe try 2 scarab rings for xtra defense.
Attack Strength : 94
Defence Strength : 97
Current hp: 99 / 99
Level : 57

Yeah my pet that is higher in levels has only 10 hps, i have the lab map but because he is painted baby i don't zap him, all my other pets have low levels.
I will try getting another scarab ring and cross my fingers that the healing springs can help squeak me pass this opponent. I am also using a greater healing scroll, helps a bit at least lol.

I barely managed a third win so I'm done. :/

I hope the next opponents aren't too much stronger. I might be able to manage one win at least.
