Today it was a coin-flip between Blaze and the AAA coin (so close I almost wrote the wrong pick down below!). The coin has better art, but ultimately, I remembered how cool it was when we won the sword that had been in the story, so I went with that. I just realized I never paid attention to the animation to see whether or not it looks to be on fire in the BD, though!

155k if I want the item for voting every day? That's a steeper price than the AC stamp! And since I have the stage with spotlights on them from a past Neopies, I'll pass. It'd be worth maybe 20k to me to have the prize for completion's sake, I think... I'm glad it wasn't a stamp!

7/16 winners correctly picked in the end. I guess my taste isn't that rare, after all, considering most days had 4 choices. Maybe next year I'll deliberately vote to try to not pick a single winner. I don't think my least favorite ever won this year, so I might actually be successful at that!

(To be fair, I could usually tell which was likely to win; I just disagreed that it was the best choice...)

I contemplated calculating the probability of getting 7/16 correct, but that was a bit complicated, so I pretended like it was a binomial distribution (all with the same probability), averaging the probabilities. The average probability of getting any particular day correct was 41.5625%, which meant that the expected value of the total number correct is 6.65. That gave us each a 19.4% chance of getting exactly 7 correct, with a 47.5% chance of getting fewer than 7 correct and a 33% chance of getting more than 7 correct. But since several of the days had probabilities of getting them correct quite a bit higher than 41.6%, the true distribution was probably skewed quite a bit more towards 7.

Completely irrelevant, but math is fun.
