Also, how do you check your plot score anyway?

I only have the Moach available to fight also, I believe it might be because of the plot. I don't know about which other one you're talking about. :S

You can't check our Plot score until they calculate it at the end.

I think I'm right, confirmation might be needed.

And he sure is hard. I am stopping at 25 wins because I am barely surviving.

Thanks guys, wish I could have had a shot at the first opponent.

I'm just now having to actually fight the Moach at 11 kills. It was dying in one hit. At least all the zaps from the lab helped in some way ;)

Ouch, didn't realize the bug was so difficult despite reading all of your posts. Now I know--I had to fight it twice before I could defeat it, and then he promptly thrashed me when I tried to top that win with another. Guess like I'm stopping for a total of 1 win, 2 losses. :( Wonder how difficult the next challenger will be?

I am finished with the moach. I have 50 wins/1 draw/1 lose and the last 2 wins where very close to the wire.

GRR!!!

I hate this stupid moach. I have managed a fantastic total of 2 wins.

Really, very terrible.

I even spent 170K on a weapon. Stupid.

A quick question, since this is my first plot when you battle someone/something: multiple wins raise your plot score, but do losses lower it, or do they not count at all?

Losses won't lower your score, from previous experience at least.

Good, then I'll try a few more times for 30 wins (70 for the first guy, 30 for the second guy for an even 100)

My pet cant take it anymore. i lost to the moach 5 times. spent a lot on weapons which did me no good. so im just going to give up :(
coz i have less than a third HPs as the monster. and there is no way i can get that raised in a short time.

I hope future challengers in the plot are simpler.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but in plots the easy opponents are first then the rest just get bigger, meaner and harder.

But it is not essential for you to fight - you can still move on in the plot. Fighting gives those people with battle pets a chance to shine and give bonus points for winning against the opponents.

Hi everyone. I've been reading the posts, which are quite helpful thanks. ^^ However, I think I need some advice. My pet is not an experienced fighter, as I only take her to the battledome from time to time (like couple times per month?). I tried fighting the moach but the bug defeated my pet in just 2 rounds. Her stats are as follows:

Health : 19 / 38
Strength : EXCELLENT (43)
Defence : GREAT (39)
Move : GREAT (25)

She is equipped with: Poison Tipped Dagger, Acara Helm, Acara Shield, Golden Geraptiku Talisman, Scarab Ring, Improved Lightning Beam, and Obsidian Dagger.

I've just blessed her to get Burrow, as most of you think that it's a useful ability.

Which weapons should I use? Which weapons should I get (I'm interested in cheap but effective ones)? Should I train my pet more (if so, in what course)? What strategies should I try?

Thanks in advance!

From the Editorial, in case someone doesn't read the Neopian Times:
[...] My question is: if we cannot/do not defeat this challenger in the Battledome, will it become impossible for someone to continue participating in the plot? [...]
No, you do not need to beat any of the challengers to proceed in the plot. We understand various players enjoy different aspects of plots. Some like puzzles, while others enjoy the Battledome or just reading the comics, so we try to add a mixture to attempt to please as many as we can. So don't fret if you can't defeat any or all of the challengers, it may affect your score (depending on how we tally the final points), but will not stop you from completing the plot.
