Re: The Return of Dr Sloth Plot prizes
Updated my Plot points/Np list. A few changes at the lower end of the scale, and the Visor and Buzzler have dropped a bit, but other than that prices seem stable atm.

Wait, I'm confused. Is there actually an avvie associated with having a robot pet? (avatar.starried.net's been down, so I couldn't check there.)
...d'oh! Sorry, my mistake. I meant to say something like, "a potential avatar" or "a future avatar," but irritation got the better of me.
Sorry again for the confusion.

Re: The Return of Dr Sloth Plot prizes
Well, I went through the list and decided what I wanted, finally. I figured I'd probably later shoot myself if I didn't get the Zapamajig, so I used the majority of my points for that. I went ahead and purchased one of the blasters via the auctions. And then I went through the list of items to see what else I wanted. Using Phlameseeker's awesome chart, I then figured out which ones I could get with my plot points that would save me the most in neopoints...and bought them. Then I went through and purchased all of the others I couldn't get with my plot points.
At that point, I realized there were only 6 prizes left that I hadn't gotten somehow...so I went ahead and got them too. First time I've randomly splurged in a while. Between the blaster and all the ones I couldn't get with my plot points, it set me back about 1 mil. {winces}
But now I get all smiley-geeky like when I look the last pages of my SDB.
...I so wish I'd done this with previous plot prizes. Then I could have a plot-prize gallery. But at this point, it'd cost a fortune to do, as I'm missing some of the key things (like the ROTL). Ah well.
Edit:
Oooh! Solutions page! http://www.neopets.com/space/ros/solution.phtml

Wow, having skimmed it, they really outdid themselves with the explanations.

However, the following solution (the one we initially developed) was about three seconds faster:

I love reading their solutions. Brings back fond memories of frustration and irritation.
I could only skim the section on the code breaking. Though it was my favorite step (pride of solving it, ect), the explanation was just as confusing as actually doing it...lol
Haha, I think their faster solution is the one I used.

Re: The Return of Dr Sloth Plot prizes
Hey all, updated the list again (spoilered because quite long).
Blaster looks still the best option by miles, although not sure on the pricings, looks like forced inflation if you ask me *shrug* Other than that, a lot of depreciation in price compared to the last time i did this.

Re: The Return of Dr Sloth Plot prizes
Wow, that's quite a difference from previous plots, where prices would inflate after just a few months. Maybe it's because TNT gave too many points out to everybody this time? (or had too low point requirements for prizes, however you want to look at it)

Re: The Return of Dr Sloth Plot prizes
I definitely felt like I got a lot of points for not doing much on this one.
