I don't think it's a Jelly World kind of joke considering Jelly World actually exists.

It was never meant to be taken seriously. The movie was something totally different from Jelly Blobs of DOOM.

Okay, to set things straight...
The Jelly Blobs of Doom description was just a joke. It's been there forever and TNT occasionally changes the year just for laughs.
But there is/was an actual Neopets movie due to come out in 2007, though IMDB listed it as "pre-production" and now I cannot find it at all on the site, so I don't know if they threw out that idea or not.
Hope that clears up some confusion!

I HOPE they threw out the idea, because that would have been a bigger flop than the Digimon movie (which was actually decent, but this won't be). Not to mention all of the awkward questions from my parents.

The digimon movies were awesome. But when they released here, they were all cut up and mashed into one movie.. and it sucked. >>

Neopets probably has about the same capacity. It'll be good, or they'll muck it up and it'll suck.

I wouldn't mind a hush-hush kind of "straight to DVD" kind of movie that you can buy on the website. I might buy it and watch it in the privacy of my own home. But I'd probably not want to go watch a neopets movie in my hometown. I mean, people might recognize me. LOL. Anyway, it would be better if it went straight to DVD I think, because people might not want to be seen going to see the neopets's movie...

Yes, the kind that isn't funny.
