Last newbie battledome question, I promise.

Is there any reason to train speed? I read that it really has little effect. What does it have effect on? Is there a minimum I should train it, or should I just ignore it altogether?

It generally has no effect. There are a couple weapons that required a certain level of speed, but only one off the top of my head.

An example would be Heavy Robe of Thievery (You need 200 speed and 100 intelligence) But it is a great weapon considering the 100% steal rate.

So if you are going for the Heavy Robe of Thievery (Priced around 350k) then I say to do it. But few other weapons, if any, have any requirements or bonuses for speed.
