Sorry, I believe the Grundo Plushie has been lying there for ages. A left over from an old plot. (Was it VirtuaPets or something?)

It was placed there just before the scheduled release of the Virtupets (around September of 2004). People believed it was going to play a part in the plot, however, the plot was never released as TNT could not get everything ready in time to coincide with the release of the Sloth TCG Expansion set. They decided to cancel the plot rather than rushing to get it done by its deadline, and instead focussed on making the Hannah and the Ice Caves plot better.

Nothing has changed about the Grundo Plushie since its introduction, I doubt a plot is to come from it.
