Bet it's quite a well-known problem, but I've got a pet with stats which are quote OK (243 HP, strength 117) but my defence is really low (23). To raise the defence with codestones or dubloons, I should upgrade to lvl 122 (it's currently lvl 15), and I think that would be a little too expensive. Is there another way (cheaper) to raise it? Kitchen Quests are often too expensive, and you need to be lucky to get the right statsraise (if you get any raise at all) so I was hoping there would be another way.

Anyone?

i guess the only way is codestones/dubloons, since when your level 50 you can use beserk, maybe when your higher level you can do kitchen quest!

I had the same problem when I stoped labbing my pet and started training him.
The hp was so high, and the level was low, so I had to train about 30 levels untill I could start training in defence.

If you plan to continue labbing your pet, I can't see any 'cheap' way to raise defence.

Yup, one of the many disadvantages. I saw that with many of my pets as well. Low level, low defense, ridiculously high hp, moderatly high strength, and ridiculously high speed. What I would do was, when I was edging a level boost (having to pay more at the training center) I would go old school and level out defense to a decent level. Know that defence only goes up to 125 (after that there are no defense boosts).

*bzzt* Wrong Roo. Defense boost is the excat same as strenght boost. Both go up to 700 now and many serious battlers focus on defense so then can block other attacks.

Low defence? Really? I've gotten +3 defence both days since I started zapping my pet.

my pets defence went from 32 to 17

I have gotten so many defense lowering zaps from the Lab Ray that its pitiful. I've had at least 3 in the last two weeks, and have also had a couple of zaps that lowered strength (including one that lowered my pet's strength by 3 pts the day after it raised its strength by 3 pts!).

Yeah... its really annoying... I just lost 3 defence today and now I have to work that back!

Tch...I got the 200 defense boost and my pet is a full lab pet. KQ is what got my pet's defense more balanced then most labbed pets.

KQ can sometimes ask for a ton of cheap quest and give stats, that's how I do it.

Yeah, I'm doing that as well right now, but I was hoping there would be a negg or something like that which would raise defence but no one would ever have heard about it so it would be awfully cheap.
