"YOU HAVE WON PRIZE MONEY FOR USING MICROSOFT WINDOWS"

The hilarious thing is that I don't.

Re: Why did you join PPT?

I popped up when I was a seven-year-old Neopets addict. I liked the site, didn't really know how to use forums at that point but wanted to try (my sister was doing it, anyway, it must be cool! ... so my seven-year-old self thought... little did I know that my sister would get into a series of failed ...

Re: ASP and CCC

Oh man, I miss Cheese! (aka snakebite.) I miss the CCC; it was the first thing I felt "part of" online, ever. As a subset of my first forum ever, it's special to me.

I remember the newbie scaring, the name changes, the special set weeks and days and such...

Re: Annoying TV Ads in Your Region?

Wires down
RED ALERT!
Don't go near
YOU'LL GET HURT!
Get some help
Better rush!
And do not
Do not
Do not touch!

Well, this is not so much annoying as "ever since my young childhood, I have had a Pavlovian response to sing along to this whenever it comes on, and my sister and I used to sing this ...

Re: Which chromosomes do you have?

If I am correct (and I am most likely INCORRECT, so don't trust me on this!), it is possible to have one Y chromosome. There could be an issue with the cell's division (similar to that which causes other aneuploidies... instances of aneuploidy... whatever the plural is) that leaves the egg with no ...

My teachers don't often make factual errors, but they do make a lot of spelling errors. "Knif," anyone?!

It's gotten to the point where if the teacher's not talking, I can walk casually up to the board, take a piece of chalk, and correct it without anyone actually caring except for maybe a little ...

So I found a picture of myself and a few friends... on cosplay.com.

I'm the stupid-looking catgirl. Taylor (the Hanajima on the far left... she's also known as Chibi, Chib-Chib, or Mana's Wifey) is actually shorter than I am ...

My library is 5.74 GB in total. 1412 items, 3.7 days.

It'll probably grow another 4 GB this year, haha...

I've got three videos (they're all just episodes of the podcast "access no talk about") and an ungodly number of 98 Rock podcasts, so this doesn't count those.

D'aww, he was probably just trying to be nice.

Still, that thing is creepy, and I would probably dump the guy as well. I don't think a guy should (have to) try THAT hard, because trying too hard scares girls away...

WOAHOHOHHOHOOO, quite a few.

- Rie, Ree
- Riefishie
- Mariester
- that other kid
- "my home skillet biscuit with butter on the side" - Shaunda
- Chris-Marie

My family hardly ever calls me "Marie," preferring the shorter "Ree" or, in the case of my mother who can't tell her daughters apart ...

Preferrably black pens or mechanical pencils. They put up resistance when you chew on them, unlike wooden pencils, which just can be gnawed through. And I don't care whether I'm using pen or pencil; pen can be scratched out just as easily as pencil can be erased. It makes the work look a lot ...

When people change sets, it confuses me to NO END. I don't usually look at usernames, being able to tell who it is just by the set (usually just the avatar), and I can't do that when the set's changed.

Of course, if the sig has your name in big honking letters, I'll obviously be able to tell it's ...

Synthesizer noises! A synth can be manipulated in all sorts of ways.

That probably doesn't count, so otherwise, it would have to be the piano. Quiet, serene... very nice to listen to.

So time's freed up...

and I'm back. Yeah, not too long of a formal absence (though it was quite a long absence before I formalized it with the post), but eh.

My schedule isn't as crowded with real life anymore (I quit newspaper because of people who were being jerks, and I don't get to see my friends as often anymore ...
