To be honest the pyramids when you actually study them are fairly pointless. They normally consist of a few tunnels and a burial chamber. Yes they're interesting, but so is Stonehenge.
Nobody actually knows who built Stonehenge, there is countless speculation, but the thing about the druids is, according to the TV show I watched awhile ago on Stonehenge on Discovery channel (I watch documentaries in my spare time), the druids came to Britain far too late.
So it was probably a culture before that.

Didn't read your post, would of saved me thr trouble of what I just wrote, but I have to strongly agree these monuments are very pointless:
Pretty much all large ancient structures are pointless and derived because of somones wealth and un toppable greed and big headedness, that fits perfectly in the case of the pyramids, yeah it was a engineering feat of great preportions especially for the time, but for what!? So one guy can lay in there dead with some dumb hope of his spirit rising to the heavens.
And stonehenge should just be left as is, if its been there so long just keep the darn thing there, poeple always have to stick there long giraffed sized necks out, and hopefully get them smashed. This is a stupid fued, leave the dumb monument their, where its been for thousands of years. If the english want to see stonehenge take a plane to whales.
