I always chose squirtle but the guide book thing i had used charmander and seemed to be pretty good

I always picked the Water poke'mon. I loved the water pokemon. By the end of Sapphire My team was basically water pokemon with one Skarmory thrown in or "Fly" and good luck.

I used to always go with Squirtle, as everone I knew always chose Charmander. But now I think bulbasaur is cooler! :D

I always picked Squirtle. He was the most versatile of the three; you could kill quite a bit of stuff early on, with few very effective opponents.

Bulbasaur! I liked to use Vine Whip. I've also started with Charmander once or twice. Squirtle...never appealed to me.

Bulbsaur because he goes to Ivysaur then to my 3rd favorite Pokemon Venisaur.

1st favorite pokemon is Paris.

Bulbasaur, then Squirtle, then Charmander.

The grass attacks were the best ont the GameBoy games. :P

Squirtle. ALWAYS. Because if I use Charmander, whatshisface chooses Suirtle and if you didn't know (I hope you did) water puts out fire. Bad...

If I choose Bulbasaur, whatshisface chooses Charmander, and fire lights up grass and stuff. But If I choose Squirtle, he chooses Bulbasaur and there is no extreme offence power with grass over water.

Charmander definatly Pwns but I still trade so I have all three.
In Leafgreen and FireRed They're so usefull all together because of the 3 moves they learn from the woman on the second of the Sevrii Islands:

Charizard: Blast burn: 150 power - makes it the most powerfull Fire type move

Venusaur: Frenzy Plant: 150 power - also makes it the most powerfull Grass type move

Blastoise: Hydro Cannon: 150 power - also also makes it the most powerfull Water type move

I always have the 3 starters evolved forms Raichu, Mewtwo and Dragonite as my team :)
