Neopets lagging?

I came back after aking a break from the site. (I'm losing interest with neopets in general)

And I was trying to do my daily activities, but my grarrl ate one of my items. I was trying to buy a replacement. But I found I somehow had more than 50 items, so I couldn't buy from a shop.

And when I tried to open more than one window, it took about a minute to load the page or hit a link.

Also the pop-up window failed to load when I hit the items. to try to put away. The pop-up loaded like 5 minutes afterward and even then didn't load everything.


Eventually my computer slowed down so nothing happened when I clicked on any window. Eventually when I was able to close one window, windows decided to close all of my windows.


And I am not even at home with my dial-up computer. I'm using a computer that's supposed to be using roadrunner's premium service.



Is it just my computer or has everyone had problems with the site today? Is this something that happened while I was gone?


As you can tell, it looks like I'm not going to be playing neopets today either.

Hmm, I haven't actually been on the site tonight, too much to do. I can tell you that what you're talking about happened to me earlier today. Drove me nuts!

And I'm also on RR cable internet. Everything else seems to be loading just fine, it's only Neo that's really laggy/pages don't want to load at all.

I did have some problems with the pop-up window, but that was due to my complete ineptness at setting up my firewall (had everything set too high and blocked).

I've been on nutrinopets lately and when I go back to neopets I am thumping my toes and fingers wildly waiting for the pages to load.

But tonight has been one of the worst, if not the worst. Usually I'm not slowed to the point of freezing up, but today is different. I mainly logged on to see the calender and when mutant day is. I got to look at that at least. I hope to be on for that day at least.

I doubt I'll spend much time on neopets any longer. I can finish whatever art trades I stared, but this slowness is frustrating me to no end.

It's probably the weekend crowd... it gets pretty annoying if you're playing games that require clicking...But I guess it's all part of Neo

Honestly, I doubt it's on Neo's end because I've been restocking all night and things couldn't be running smoother.

i gave up just trying to get to the main page, it's been growing worse for me.

It has been bad for me all week. I can usually do 1-2 of the daily stuff before nothing will load at all, not even the main page. I am on DSL, and neopets is the only site that has been giving me problems.

Neopets has been running pretty fast for me, sometimes it goes a little slower but not enough to prevent me doing stuff on the site, and I think that's just been the weekend rush.

I don't think necessarily it's a weekend rush, I've had a lag/loading problem every other day for the past couple weeks.

When i click on the button to play games, sometimes, they don't even register the click, so I have to refresh the page to be able to load the game

Back to normal for me again, just a tiny bit laggy over the weekend.
