Line up your old colors
line up you new colors

cross out blanks AND any colors that haven't changed

you are left with 8

start at bottom (important)

my old color is red tep

my new color is orange tep

I start by reading a red tep scroll (based on room in red cat)

then I read yellow tep (based on room in yellow cat)

(i think it's in catalog order as to which to read first BYR, if it doesn't work redo it the opposite way)

then you get message with the room for your blended scroll

go there and read orange tep

You will get no special message and think you failed. You didn't, keep going with the next combo above this one!

Yes, that's the idea exactly.

You will only get a confirmation in the form of a room name after you read a correctly ordered pair of primary colored scrolls. There is no confirmation after the secondary scroll.

was that by any chance the color order of your first crystal or your first cc or the second cc?

I didn't notice a pattern ... I always just try both ways.

Ok but if you try the wrong way on the second symbol do you have to start over with the first one again like we did if we messed up on the sharp eye message?

so we will be reading 24 scrolls total for this step?
Two to find the hint for the secondary color. Then the secondary color itself. For eight different secondary colors, right?

Do we have to work backwords from the last symbol for all 8 of them? I.E. we get the symbol from starting at the bottom right of the tablet and working left then back to the second row from the bottom far right to assing a symbol to the color sequence..IE>

12 11 10 9
8 7 6 5
4 3 2 1

like that for symbol matching?

and 12 11 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1
for the color sequences?

Just a last clarification before I go off reading. You end up reading 24 scrolls right?

For me it was always yellow before blue, and red before blue. I didn't have any red and yellow combos.
