I was thinking... So far almost all our prophesies have come true:

"The curse of Jazan will make Sakhmet disappear" *check*
"Prince Jazan will make vanish the city of Sakhmet" *check*

"When the curse is lifted, Jazan isn't the only thing that will live again."
*They meant the city/people of Qasala? - No*
*Or, the curse isn't lifted yet? - No*
*Unless they meant Razul? - check*

The most recent prophesy is:
"The father of the prince will destroy the great desert"
I wonder in what way this is going to come true?
The old desert map has, in a sense, already been destroyed.
Will he turn all the people to mummies? Kill then? Irrigate and plant grass and flowers and build casinos? That would just as surely destroy the great desert.


Aaaannd... as an odd side effect of this line of thinking... I just realized that Nabile marries Jazan while wearing Jazan's mother's dress, and notably resembling her (according to the blue shoyru and mummified pteri). Can we say Oedipus, anyone? Kissing cousins? Good googly moogly, he's marrying a direct descendt. Are they from the Lost Desert or Mississippi?

The shoyru mentions her resemblance to "Princess Neera" although the Pteri says the dress was from the Queen. So, it's possible that Razul, although he is Jazan's father is also a Prince, and maybe one of the ones referred to in the various prophesies...

I'm so glad that the puzzle part of the plot has continued

I'm at the YRB -> W stage (have been for a couple of weeks), but it's been exams so I haven't had any time But exams are over now, and I'll be able to catch up over the weekend or during next week

Well, we all know TNT's had issues with Princess = Queen all along. Coltzan has been dead for how long now, and the ruler is still being referred to as Princess?

I want to see a family tree when all this is over!

Princess Leia was still called Princess even after her 'home' planet was blown up. Some cultures requires the princess to marry before she can become a queen. (Although seeing how flaming Razul is, Amira and Nabile will have competition in that area [Ah! I love that pun . I'm going to kill it ]).

I do agree that some sort of geneology would be great.

A little Tablet 2 solving tip my husband realized - very obvious some others may have also found it

The Symbols in your palette (ones you pick from when solving) are arranged in the order in which the symbols fit on your tablet. In other words, the first symbol is always the top left one on the tablet. The symbols can and often do repeat - but - for example the third one would not fit on your tablet for the first time before the second one showed up. Try it, you'll see. Makes solving even quicker. Credit to Quueu for this tip.

I just want to check that I'm doing this the right way, since it would be a pain in the bum to have to re-do it all

After having been away and busy and etc, I finally got light into my crystal today and screen capped the colors. I put colored circles around the symbols of my tablet in the right order according to the crystal. Then I went to the entrance to the repository and checked out the yellow directory, since yellow was my first color. My symbols marked in yellow on the tablet was paw, flags, water and ankh. The first one of those appearing in the directory list is water ('How to Play the Viola').

So I went to the basment and located the 'How to Play the Viola' section. I looked at rack after rack until I found one that had a scroll with the water symbol in yellow on it. And I read it.

Now, do I need to locate the next section on my directory list (ankh, 'Ruki Population Surveys'), and search through the racks of scrolls there until I find the yellow ankh one and then etc? Or did I not understand things correctly? I just want a confirmation before I wear my poor pets paws out, trotting around the repository all day.

It sounds like you're doing it completely correctly, reading the symbols in directory order and all, so just keep on doing as you are now and you should get the hint when you've read your 12th scroll.
