Although this may be a weird poll, it really isn't. There's many different bands you can listen to on a radio, but I'm listing the main five, which I shall talk about.
Don't you just love girls whose parents are Amateur Radio operators?

AM: AM was the original radio band, expanding all the way up to over 1600 mhz. At night, you can listen to radio stations out of state. I've found stations from New York, D.C., Atlanta and more.

FM: FM is home to radio stations we listen to the most, but it's possibly one of the weakest. All local stations and some stations from cities, if the transmitters are strong enough, can be picked up on FM.

SW: SW, or Short Wave, allows you to listen to stations from all over the world. It's basically AM, but a little stronger. Examples of stations on SW are NHK News Radio and World Harvest Radio.

MW: MW, or Marine Wave, is very close to AM, but is the frequency ships also send out SOS on.

2 Meters (Amateur Radio band): The band that all amateur radio operators speak on, using repeaters. Strength and distance depends on antennas, radio types, and setups (using strengthers such as beams).

I think mine would have to be SW. Because...it's rather cool.

It comes down to AM or FM for me.

FM since it carries the stations run by my last three schools, plus we get NBC on our lowest frequency.

AM since it carries NPR and Air America.

I voted AM since NPR has the best morning programs and Air America has Al Franken. Al Franken is so fun.

You get NBC on your lowest frequency? Ah, no fair. We get bleedover from a country/contemporary Christian station.

AM for me because I can listen to baseball games in the car. Plus, I've given up on radio for music.

I should search for Air America around here. I didn't know they were still up and running. I used to listen to that station a couple years ago. Very funny!

It is the actual NBC broadcast that we get on the televison, right down to the commercials. I used to listen to the Today show every morning, but all of the human interest stories and crazy celebrities drove me to NPR.

I've only used AM and FM. Out of those two, probably FM, because I listen to it more, although I listen to radio rarely. Occaisonally I'll pop over to AM, because there's this one station in San Antonio that I get here that's news (WOAI).

Um, XM? I sometimes listen to FM, specifically one station. I leave the other band alone.
