Could you possibly just buy a bunch of cheap petpets, zap them into something nicer, and sell them?

No, because upon removal of the petpet it reverts to its original form to prevent such dastardly deeds. :)

Oh, and just a question... when I go to change the name of the Petpet, if I have any spaces or -'s, it deletes them - but I've seen some pets with spaces in their names... am I missing something? ^^; Just if you happen to know, thank you :3

It was an Robot Kadoatie - turned pile of ashes.
My other pet's petpet was zapped clean away.
