Whoa... did it actually work? Sure looks like it. Your Petpet has been transformed. Imagine that. A Strawberry Doglefox!! Yes!!

Since this thread is petpet lab stories I shall write a wee story to go with what happent. Because I am bored.

Once upon a time, a lone blue zafara went to the lab ray to get zapped. After nothing interesting happent, he took his petpet zing, a pile of soot, to the lab also! How cool for a lab pet to have a lab petpet! Anyways, the poor pile of soot was shaking and scared! Zingeo assured him it would be alright, and nothing bad can happen (of course he was lying).

So Zingeo took Zing the pile of soot to the ray, and placed it infront of the kookith. The Kookith rubbed its hands, grinned, and started up the ray! Just as the soot began to run (scoot?) away, the beam hit him! The soot began to feel more compact, and change shape! A cloud of smoke consumed him, and when the smoke was gone, a Cloud Walking Carpet stepped forward!

Zingeo and zing lived happily ever after!

So, I didn't realize until I started reading this thread that the petpet lab would change their names... but you can just change it back, right? That's a little.... odd.

Also, I'm just trying to clarify, true or false:

1. you can totally lose your petpet from the pplr?
2. if it zaps your petpet into something else, it turns back when you unequip it (ie you had a snow buzzer, it zaps into a green snorkle and when you unequip it you suddenly have a snow buzzer again)
3. the PPL still recognizes your petpet as what it ORIGINALLY was when you equipped it, so in the example above, if the PPL chose snow buzzers you'd get a prize, but if they chose green snorkles you'd be sad?

are these statements true?

I think the PPl disqualifies the petpet all together. And yes, you can change the name back if it gets changed. Its just a pain

It used to be that zapped petpets were valid for avatars or even for use in making a krawk. Sadly, Neopets caught on and zapped petpets no longer do anything except look cool =(
