I counted everything I could and then counted it all again to check. I have included the half hidden trees on the lost desert map, because they are still there aren't they?

I used the HTML map.

I counted the Brightvale 'double' flags as two, because the brightvale flag is a long pointy flag on it's own. I might be wrong about this though

Of course I forgot to write down my number, so I don't know how many digits it is, but the last 3 digits were 200. It did not look like a "pretty" number, that is, it looked random, not like it was chosen for any reason. So I got a different number from some of you... but I think my number is wrong, because I forgot something.

I did not count the grundo chef, warehouse foreman or the guards, because imho they are not hanging out, they are working.
I counted the double flags as two.
I counted the partial trees on LD.

I used the flash maps and zoomed in to count stuff like the potatoes, but it looks confusing.... is that one or two potatoes under there?

I, too, was hoping the answer would be zero. I'll be really sad if it is zero because of the "haunted fairgrounds" thing. This is the first time I've been online anywhere near the time when the thing was released!

Also, could someone pm me and let me know which map it is that reveals something in the rollover animation? Are you talking about the VSS?

EDIT: Aw shoot! LOTS of people are getting the number that looks like a nice pattern number. I didn't. *sigh*.

Also, someone on the boards brought up a good point.... do we count the word "potato" as a potato appearing on that map?

Considering all the variations on this puzzle, I think it's safe to say that if you just pull a random answer out of your smurf, you'll be better off than anyone who actually tried to figure it out.

Oh, and mine ended in 400. It doesn't fit any sort of pattern. I'm going to guess that my answer is wrong and that there will be seldom few whose answers are correct at the end of the competition as compared to usual.

I actually had a dream about this LC... I dreamt (is that a word?) that everyone here was posting their answers, and I was like what?, and only two peoples matched mine.

Mine end number was big, and ended in 800 (not in my dream (well actually, it was the same number in my dream))

I really hope they don't count words because I'm not this one is tough but it is more like luck some people win after working for one hour somebodys gonna lose after working for the whole week!I think I'm going to work a day or 2!!! *puts hands together**looks up to the sky**closses eyes**sits there motionless for a while*

I think if they were going to count words they would have worded the questions differently.

e.g 'How many times do potatoes appear on the Meri acres Farm map?'

not

How many potatoes can be seen in the Meri Acres Farms map?

I don't see how they got only 13 potatoes. If they counted the half tree in the desert, I don't know why they didn't count the potato you can clearly see behind the front two in the left-most pile.
