Optimisticly... my gallery thread!

Display your creative spirit here in the Pink Poogle Toy Gallery. It can be art... it can be music... it can be a poem (even haiku)... but most of it... it must be you.

Optimisticly... my gallery thread!

#1 Post by starbys »

I don't draw a lot of Neopets art, admittedly, but maybe I can squeeze out enough to justify this thread. It's a nice change and healthy artistic exercise. :D

My usual renderings are... shall we say, not safe for work and therefore not something I'd bring around here. 0:) However, for those who might be interested, I'm reconstructing my art website, so watch my signature for bulletins on the matter.

EDIT: I'll be enclosing the recent links so new comers don't have to dig through the whole thread for images.

My first submission is a quick rendering of Kyruggi, the tyrannian kyrii elder.

LINK

I didn't do much planning on this so the musculature is more cartoonish than I would like. My perspective isn't great either, but there you have it. :)

Others:

Roberta, of The Darkest Faerie - pencil
Jair, of team Maraqua - pencil
Jair, of team Maraqua - ink
Mipsy, of Neoquest II - pencil
A random fire faerie, in the dark
coming soon...

*gasp* That's so cool! I love her curves. She's so womanly. I think you did an awesome job! Do you submit your stuff to the Art Gallery on Neo?

I suspect she might be a little too womanly for the art contests, but I'm considering it ;)

I've seen even more womanly Neopets in the Art Gallery, including a pink anthro Usul with no clothes. Very well endowed from what I can remember, too. If they can let that in, then I'm sure they'll allow this for the Art Gallery :)

LOL Now that really surprises me. I would've thought TNT would be a bit more prudish. :D

Woah, I really like that and I think that if you submitted it to the art contest, it will definetley get chosen.
Her expressoin (especially the eyes) makes her look so aloof and "know-it-all". =D

Inspiration strikes again!

I've been playing Neoquest II these days and so this bit is out of the frustration of having Mipsy be so unfeminine in the game. :D

I've done a little work on this thread so it'll be easier to find all the images. :)

Fixed the link to Roberta.

Hmm, not too many NQII fans I suppose...

Anyway!

NEW: I remember clearly now why I hated crayons as a child, but nonetheless they do give something of their own to a drawing... like a crackly glow to a fire faerie alit in the dark--like this!

Miss me? Had some tiresome stuff going on, but I'm still alive and kicking.

Here's a WIP I'm going to finish pretty soon methinks...

Nice pictures, I especially like the inked Jair, you did a good job on her.

What did you use to draw the Maraquan Ixi? The sketching makes it look as though you used some version of Painter.

Just pencil :) I do most of my sketching in graphite as my digital painting skills are subpar at best.
