Nowhere enar as cool as a space marine, but cool none-the-less.
Even with his die-hard fanboy legions.

Eh, he's got to be the most generic character in this generation of gaming. His used name is just his military rank shortened "Master Chief Petty Officer" (or whatever it is, something like that), there's no imagination in that (And it's a bit silly). His character design is plain and nothing special (a guy in a metal suit who we never really see?), and his true identity, a biologically and cybernetically-enhanced soldier, who has physical power greater than any human... *yawn* ...seen it, in just about any other shooter game, save maybe the 007 games, also in many movies.

He's uninspired and generic. He may be a "cool" character, but at the end of the day, he's really not that great a character.

He has no faults as a character of a mainstream FPS, were he an actor he was cast perfectly for the part. Your jaded opinion is just because its a popular game, and they didn't invest all that time and effort into establishing his character. *Yawn*

Anyway, none of that makes him lame.

Lamest character? Mrs Pacman, Pacman is awesome, but taking your wife to your franchise just doesn't work!

This thread is asking, in your opinion, who is the lamest video game character, it's not asking if you agree with those opinions (and believe me, they're not).

This isn't the "Defend your Favourite Character for your Honor" thread, if you don't agree with me, good for you. If you're going to disagree, you could, you know, research something? If you like the game so much, you should easily be able to come up with something better than "He's perfect, you're just wrong." (which is all your posts says). I can't take someone seriously when they state that something is "perfect" or without faults.

Considering many people think he's the best "video game character of all time", there has to be reason other than the fact that he's in a game they like. That's not a reason, that's an excuse.

You should be able to take the character out of the game and be able to find the faults in them, if you can't do that, then you shouldn't be claiming anything to anyone else.

I disagree with that. A video game character is constructed for the game that they are created for, therefore there should be no need to take the character out. The common ground between the characters in different video games is the whole you know... video game thing.

Anyway, before you go and avoid the main parts of what I’m saying in my poorly constructed syntax, you ended up avoiding the lame part of your statement and just saying he's generic. There is nothing lame about the, as you say - "uninspired and generic" qualities of Master Chief, whilst sure that is true, that does not make him a Lame video game character.

And forums is where you discuss things Kugetsu!

Disclaimer: I don't play a lot of video games, and the ones I do play are mostly more basic & girly.

Anyhow, I could never stand Tails from Sonic, he always seemed wimpy to me, like he couldn't live without Sonic. He was always up Sonic's you-know-what.
