I just looked for Secret Laboratory Map using the shop wiz, and I got prices like 99,800 NP just for one piece! o.O now I'm more than thankful that I got the full map for around 50k

Yeah, I was in the market for a second lab ray, and the prices alone have turned me off of it. That, and the ever-increasing prices of faerie and grey PBs (and the others, I'm sure) have started to turn me away from the site as a whole. Things are just inflating too fast right now, and I can't keep up. :\

Someone more experienced than I: please tell me this is all just temporary.

I know what you mean. The only reason I keep coming back every day is for the games. The prices themselves are jsut getting to be too much. And the more prices go up, the harder it is to buy a simple object

Yeah, I've seen that too. I remember when faeries were a few hundred np! I also completed my lab ray for less than 50k. Now, if I ever want to complete another map, I will have to collect each piece thru a random event, or sell one I have duplicates of to get the one I don't. The only pieces I'm keeping now are petpet lab ones, but I'm always *this close* to selling for the NP.

Even codestones are getting ridiculous. I think we need a stock market crash or something, lol.

I don't really get the inflation. I noticed a jump in a matter of weeks in the price of faerie pbs from 1.7mil to 2.3mil. That's just ridiculous.

I remember a discussion a long while ago on this forum about craaazy inflation and ways to counteract it...I wonder if TNT will ever do something about inflation?

I mean, it's one thing to make stuff hard to get = more challenging game = fun, but after a certain extent I'm sure this sort of thing would turn off new players.

LIke the whole halloween pb thing. Just because Halloween is coming closer, neopians have deicied to raise the prices to almost unbuyable.

I must say though, that Tarla is a spiffy way of cutting prices on items. However she doesn't give out 100k+ items. Or at least, not so far.

Wouldn't it really be as simple as TNT raising the % chance of certain prizes, restocks and random events a tiny bit, and allowing more of the item into the market? More of the item = lower price, no?

I'm currently stuck with a fire korbat, and he gets zapped everyday.I'm hoping he'll change colours/speices soon. I like him, I'm just tired of looking at the fire one all the time

i've never even had anything other than a plain colour nearly all that ever happens is sex change!

I bought my lab map for about 300k. I thought that was really expensive at the time. Now prices for a full map are around 600k. I don't like the inflation either. I remember when codestones use to cost around 2.5k and the faerie paintbrush was around 100k (that was a good few years back though).

All I've been getting lately, is gender change, lose/gain hit points lose/gain defence points lose/gain levels

In theory, yes. That is assuming the people who win the paintbrushes want to sell them...they could be used or gallery'd.
