Probably some sort of (mini-)plot first. I'm hoping for Haunted Woods, but I'm not holding out too much hope.

However, if NQ3 shows up any time soon (or ever), I will dance the dance of the jubilant NeoQuesters!

They confirmed the next thing is going to be a war relating to the Haunted Woods so ultimatly it's only a matter of time until they start that (since we're almost mid-way through September.)

I hope hope hope it's a war! And I reeeeally hope it won't be based on the ranking system. That sucked last time, I just barely made it into Rank 2, and only got 10 points. I hope it's like the Hannah plot, minus the disease weilding opponents. I want all of my pets to fight and rack up some personal BD scores :]

My guess is that NQ3 will come out (maybe) in 2010. Considering how long it took them for NQ2.
The HW plot should start around Halloween, so we're pretty close. Personally I wouldn't mind waiting until them, if I get to see my Altador prizes in the meanwhile. Because, for once, I'm pretty sure I did *everything* I needed to do.

Well since wars are a plot, I'm going with a war plot. We have had 3 puzzle plots in a row now, that is if you can count CG as a puzzle plot, more like a mystery plot like Usurper. But anywho, it seems to me like plots go in waves, a bunch of war plots and then some puzzle plots:

A war plot in the Haunted Woods.

1. TNT stated something in an Editorial that the next big "thing" would be at the Haunted Woods.

2. Haunted Woods (TCG) has a story laid out.

3. "Coming Soon" in the news has 2 site content coming - Spooky Monsters and Halloween. (A Halloween/Haunted Woods plot)

4. Apparently there is an article/articles in the Neopets Magazine talking about a Haunted Woods plot.

I'm curious, now that you guys mentioned the ranking system of the CoM plot. How did that system work? I was gone during that plot so it's definitely new to me.

Whatever happened to Tyrannian Land War? That was supposed to be a really interesting and awesome game, from the descriptions I read, but it's been years with no results.

During that war, you chose only 1 pet you would be using to fight. Determined by the stats of the selected pet (I believe was a combination of Hit Points and Strength), you were placed in one of three rankings. Lower pets had easier enemies, mid-range pets had more difficult enemies, high range pets had even harder difficulty enemies. This caused a severe imbalance in points distributed as the lower ranked pets with better weapons could aquire more points than a mid ranked pet with "standard" weapons (and was unfair to battlers who had unblanced stats due to the effects of the lab for one thing and were "forced" into a more advanced rank.)

It was based upon the stats of your chosen pet, so my poor SathanaseJR with a defence of 8 and a strength of 80-odd had his butt handed to him on many an ocassion.
Scraped away with 10 points.


IMO they should just go for say, Seven waves of unlimited opponents, and just let us go nuts.

Ohhhh. Wowww. That woulda been horrible for me, with my lovely pet's hp at 275 and strength at 181 and a defense at 38. >_< In that case, if there is a war, then I'd certainly hope that they don't use that system again. (Oh and I musta forgot to mention that my weapons are horrible, too. w00t!)
