I am basically buying retired items and have got quite a few but today i got a random event and got a retired item.

So can i not assume retired items are actually retired

The item i am reffering to is the icy negg.

If something is "retired", it usually just means you can't buy it from a Neopian shop. It doesn't mean you can't find them around though.

Yeah, I have gotten several "retired" items over the years via random events. There's an article on this in one of the editorials somewhere I think.

I just got a retired... uh, black banana :roll: not exactly exciting. King Hagan gave it to me. I have a few random retired advent calendar items on my account that I can't access. Assuming neopets simply changes my email back over so I can get my password, I'll give you whatever retired items I have....no use for them here, really.
