Stranger than Fiction

Pretty crappy. Wasnt even funny, and it didnt end well.

Also watched Stranger than Fiction. Mildly funny at times, but I agree, the ending was kind of a letdown. Happy but depressing. However, I usually don't find Will Ferrell tolerable, so this was a start.

The Wraith

I haven't finished it yet, but i've seen enough to guess it's really stupid with stupid people doing stupid things and actions. Really, i'm amazed i'm saying stuff like that, because i usually like all movies, but this one is just bad. Seeing people talk about cars and solve all their problems with car racing is just inane...and that's the villains doing it. Perhaps i had to have been born in that time frame to understand it...i just don't see the point. maybe it will be better when i finish it.

Saw III

I liked that they got away from that terribly done Saw II rubbish they made last time and went back to the reason I liked the first one so much, because it's not just about throwing a bunch of people in a strange place and having them die one by one. It's a horror movie where most of the characters are actually very important to the story and weren't just killed off as quickly as they usually are. The "games" were just as disturbing as ever, possibly the most gruesome yet (well actually, I would say they are without a doubt.

I really did like the ending, and I don't want to spoil it so I won't mention anything of it. I'm just happy that it had a story, and a pretty good one, unlike the second installment which turned out to be of the stereotypical slasher movie type. :\ Anyway, the Saw movies are known for they're nearly impossible to predict endings (well... maybe except for the second, though it was somewhat unpredictable. >_>)

I did have a problem at one point near the beginning (an actual non-gore part, mind you), where a bunch of flashing lights and switching cameras and angles made me start to feel ill and bust out in beads of sweat. I thought it might have been caused by the stuff after it, but after taking a trip to the rest room, and washing my face of I was good to go, so it had nothing to do with the gore (and I have strong stomach anyway). I'm thinking it may have been the flashing lights or something to that effect, so I would like to say: If you're epileptic in any way, do NOT watch this at the theatre. I don't know about when it comes to video, but it seems to be an epileptic person's nightmare (I'm pretty sure I'm not epileptic, well, I know I'm not, but I almost threw up and fainted at the same time because of it)

Checked out some older films:
2001: A Space Odyssey- Pretty good, although I was completely confused at the end.
The Hand that Rocks the Cradle-Good movie, you start to feel sorry for the mother in the movie.
Play Misty for Me-Not like I thought it was going to be, I didnt like it that much but it wasnt repulsive.

And some of the newer ones:
Saw III-I actually liked it, it wasnt the best Saw but they did a good job like always.
The Prestige-It was O.K. Kind of boring and dull at parts though.

I thought it was a cute movie. One of those movies I like to watch when I need a "happily-ever-after" movie.

Borat ~ Other then certain scenes which made my eyes burn, it was hillarious.

Open Season ~ Quite amusing

And now I wish I wasn't broke and that I could afford going to see Happy Feet and Casino Royal

Wordplay: Actually quite good! I didn't think a documentary about crossword puzzles would be interesting.

Best in Show: My dad likes the Christopher Guest movies. He had all of them except this one, and he just bought it. It was hilarious, although not as good as Waiting For Guffman and certainly not as good as This Is Spinal Tap. I still need to watch A Mighty Wind.

I meant to see Stranger Than Fiction this week or last week...I hope to see that soon.

Casino Royale. I was surprisingly surprised by how good it was. Definitly one of my favourite Bond movies.
