Can't play in class, because I don't usually bring my lappy with me and not all classrooms have wifi. Can't play at work, because they monitor our internet useage every now and then, lol.

my first original set!

I actually started playing neopets in class...I discovered the site during a programming class at the end of my freshman year of high school. I'm now in my fourth year of college, and while I still play to avoid starting homework, it'd be impossible to play in class since most of my classes are interactive (I'm a music major).

I also try to get away from homework by going on neo, but I always do my homework at the end (or during )

I use it as procrastination from homework pretty often. I use this forum for the same purpose... as well as LiveJournal, MySpace, Wikipedia, and the rest of the internet...

I rarely used computers in school. The computer teacher wouldnt hesitate to give detentions for something as silly as playing Solitaire or going online to check the weather if that wasnt in the lesson plan. But I do use Neopets to procrastinate, though more from everyday life than homework. Since I have no homework.

Nah, never during class. I'm in the sort of courses where you really can't blow off taking notes and expect to pass. I used to during the severely boring computer science course I had during my freshman year of high school, though. I'd get done early and play a little bit of Korbat's Lab.

As for when I should be studying, I wouldn't really call it procrastination...it's more of a really long study break.

I do all sorts of things when I'm writing a paper I don't want to write, including playing Neopets(especially Neoquest). Even though I know I'm wasting time, and sometimes it takes me three or four hours to write what I know I could write in one, I prefer this way of working because I'm continuing to think about the subject without being bored out of my mind. So it's not properly procrastination, just an inefficient way to work. Forums, mailing lists, and blogs are the main things I check to procrastinate; Neopets is a lower priority.
