I was suprised about the news myself. I was expecting a new day of it and it actually took me a minute to realise that I was reading yesterday's news.

It is a little odd that there is nothing new from TNT. Does anyone remember a day without something new in New Features? Other than weekends I mean...

Whatever the delay, it must be either a glitch in the next step or just that the next step is not ready for another reason and they didn't want to post it. But that still brings me back to questioning why not just post non-plot news...

Ah well, it's not like this speculation is accomplishing something, but until we get something else, I guess this is all we have, lol

Maybe the caption contest is a clue. In the caption contest there are two pets and they are looking down at their petpet farm. Well what if this island is just like that?

Anyone who visits the area is shrunken because of the curse. Then Dr. Sloth beams them to another area, where they think they are still in the ocean, but they are just in a large pool in his lab or something.

They may be in the space station now, under glass, with Sloth looming over watching their every move, and laughing. Maybe he wouldn't let them die, but maybe he would. I want to believe Dr. Sloth has a shred of goodness, but maybe that is because he looks a little like the grinch.

Maybe they will look up in the sky and see his red eyes looking down at them. Or they will try to leave the island and they will hit the glass part, like in the Truman show.

Maybe Dr. Sloth will never really make an appearence, but we will know he was behind it all.

Maybe he will let anyone go, if they are brave enough.

I didn't think of the fire. That could be it. But also I saw a board about the Neopets Mobile users being hacked. Maybe that is it. Or they are working on the pound.

It's kind of a fun idea to have the characters shrunken, but I don't think it's right. If they were teensy, then the plant life should all be enormous as well as the bugs. Instead, the plants are roughly normal-sized, so it must be that the bugs really are that big instead of the pets being so small. Or at least that's how I'm seeing it.

C'mon, TNT, more plot!
