My boyfriend, who signed up on Neopets today (yay), is having problems sending Neomail. Receiving and everything else works fine. When he tries to send, with all fields filled out, he gets an error message that says "you can't send an empty message". He uses Opera (v. 9.23), so I guess that must be causing the problem, as I'm on Firefox and Neomail works fine for me.

Anyone having or had the same problem?

Thanks in advance, all help appreciated :)

Neopets is a pain for incompatable browsers. Firefox didn't work well up until the redesign.

It can't be perfect for every browser, though, can it? :)

Well, honestly, it should. We are talking about one of the biggest websites out there - in current Internet age, a website of the size of Neopets Inc. should really be compatible with most browsers. I don't think TNT would answer "sorry dude, it can't be perfect for everyone" if I asked them about this; they know where they stand. Opera is after all quite common. Statistically I believe it comes right after IE, Firefox/Mozilla and Safari.

But anyway, I've reported to TNT about this. Hope it will be fixed in near future.

And still, if someone here uses Opera, and Neomail works fine with it, please inform :)

In terms of usage it certainly does come right after IE (+/- 80%), Mozilla/Firefox (10-15%), Safari (about 2-5%) and then there's Opera (0-1%).

They'll probably give more priority in fixing errors that occur in IE and FF, than Opera..

I have Opera, I just sent an neomail and it worked just fine. I guess Opera is not the problem. :/ Good luck getting it sorted out!

Maybe he can try going to Site Preferences and clicking the box for Plain Text Neomail.

Agh, I'm so stupid. I totally forgot an option like that existed. That was obviously the problem. Thank you, now it works ~:>
