It seems we are now getting sponsor and/or sister companies logos showing up on Neopets.

It may not seem like much now, but where is it heading?

I feel slightly miffed that it is on the Site Theme. We 'earn' these themes and now they are going to be covered with logos. I know most probably don't view the bottom image much, but that is besides the point!

Neopets is now a part of the "Nickelodeon family" so expect to see even more plugging of Nick in the future. They're already had the Wheel of Slime and a few other games/sponsor ads going on for some time but expect to see more as what's her name that ran the Nick website takes over the site management and plugs and kiddifies it even more.

ughs...where is this taking Neopets? Do you think they're trying to flush out the older (in age) players?

Besides the obvious blahness of it, I pay for Premium so I don't have to see ads...why do I have to see that one?

I am happy that it is part of the bottom tag and not part of the actual iamge. It is an odd thing to see, I must admit o_O

Well, I must say for a bit, I thought I had just totally missed it for days, but I'm glad to know it just now showed up. Mine doesn't show on every refresh, but I'm definitely going to adblock it.

I must say, though, tiny little ads like that, text based, at the bottom of the screen, and hardly noticeable - I don't mind them so much. The big obtrusive ones - or ones that change the way I play (like that stupid extra link added to the front of our inventory shortcuts list) - those bother me.

For those of you using IE or Firefox without Adblock, you can add this to the .CSS for page rendering in order to remove the logo.
Code:
.copyright {
display: none !important;
}

It's designating that it is part of Nickelodeon. It's not too bad though, I ad blocked it.

Nickelodeon has a Neopets logo on the bottom of their site (nick.com), so it just seemed like it was only time before they added something to the Neopets layout.
