Maybe those who got the perfume today will get the apples tomorrow and vice versa. Who knows?

A couple of other theories:

Those who got apples had less NP's, items, no NeoHome, no battledome equipped to their Neopet(s), or some combo of the above. While those who were deemed to have a lot of NP's etc, got the better things.

Also, another reason is maybe the amount of time spent on Neopets each day/week, i.e. the more you spend you got the perfume and the less you spend you got the apples.

I know I didn't collect anything for the first week of December because I had completely forgotten about it and didn't realize it was December until a couple days in.

Guess we'll see if people get the apples tomorrow who got the perfume today and vice versa.

I'll post here after I get my AC prizes for tomorrow, within a few minutes after the new begins.

A green apple is item #1. Whenever an item giving code is mucked up, it seems to revert to giving green apples. I remember the cove had a tantrum one day, and resulted in very expensive apples. My bet is something went wrong on one of the servers, or with one of the username databases and it reverted to apples

That sounds like a very reasonable explanation.

I hope it puts to rest some of the more outlandish reasons people are coming up with.

I put those theories up to make fun of those who have come up with other theories about why this happened. I didn't make it seem like I was just kidding, though I was. It's kind of funny the theories that get thrown around.

Hopefully, it is just a glitch and not supposed to be apples. An less likely option, but still an option (and still a glitch) - it could be that the apples were supposed to be released another day on the AC. Though, I kind of would felt gibed if that was the actual prize that the AC would give out. Those are the only 2 real options I see.

(Sorry, but the whole reason I love Ogrins is the fact I had hoped they'd look like a reindeer when Christmas - hence my Ogrin's name Dunderblixem [two of the original reindeers' names]. Now that there are antlers, it looks far better than before =D)

seaweed garland is still broken. Is it hard to fix something like this?

TNT are away on their christmas hols at the moment though - i'm sure it'll get fixed when they get back, let them have a break!

Did anyone else not get music? I would have liked some nice sound effects like knocking on a door, door creaking open. I was thoroughly disappointed though...

Alicekitty, did you get the antler prize or the apples? I don't have music, either, and I don't want to collect my prize if I am on a broken server.

Wow, I'm sorry. Luckily I got the real prize today, but got green apples yesterday. I really hope TNT fixes this once they get back, but who knows how they'll know who got apples.
