Biscuit Brigade

#1 Post by Lee »

Another new game on Neopets! I think this game is really confusing at first. After a thorough reading of the directions I finally got it! I like it. It's not my favorite game on Neopets, but I liked it enough to zone out playing it during the PPT Show.

When this game was in Beta, I was totally confused and didn't like it. Now I love it and I am now winning WC games with it.

I play on Hard Mode and I use nets and rockets and make a tunnel from the toy box with nets every 2 rockets (sometimes I change to see what happens).

My highest score so far is 6203 - defeated all 20 levels and still had 5 biscuits (my only mistake was not knocking the towers down for extra points).

At the moment, the game is glitching on the last couple of stages and it is hard to get over 4000.

Could you include a screenshot? I'd like to know what your tunnel looks like.

I have a double line(There is space between them of course) from the cookie area, which I line mostly with crossbows, and throw in a sludge thrower every now and then. I purposely do not upgrade to the nets, because the description of the sludge thrower says it effects multiple enemies, while the net says it only effects one. Of course, I've only made it to almost 3000 points, and haven't made it to wave 20. Are the nets actually better than the sludge throwers?

I just start out with one tower, then gradually place them around the castle and eventually move them towards Skarl. I got up to 1000 points with that method, but I'll try out the tunnel.

Neopets has changed the scoring for this game. Yesterday you could get over 6000 points when you finished the game with all your cookies, today you can only score about 3500 for this. Not fair  The score shown in the top right corner is not the score given when you end the game.

I really like this game, even though I'm not very good at it at all and only play on normal right now.
My favorite towers are crossbow and net towers--the net-throwing is fast, and if you've got a net tower along the sides of the path, it throws the net over whichever one is closest to the cookies, so it gets pretty much every enemy in the lower waves and slows them drastically. The balloon and paintball towers are nice as well, especially when you use them together and with crossbow towers. I can't really position rocket launchers very well--I use them close to the cookies, where I can have a tower facing the enemies rather than shooting from the "sidelines." They're much more effective that way, because of the lengthy flight path they require before exploding. The gravel towers don't seem to do too much damage, and I can't get the windmills in useful positions. As for the potion towers...well, I can't see that they do any damage at all, which confuses me. Ditto on the decoys. Am I just not using them right or something?

I think it is only worth playing the game on hard. I have managed to finish all the waves on hard but not with all the five cookies. One way of beating it is by putting the cannons very close to the cookies. The other and I think better way is to make a block of 4 cannons right in the path of the enemies popping out the box and have defense towers either side of the way the toys pop out. Problem with it is that if you put one tower wrong and this tower blocks the enemy they just chew through all of your towers and leave you defenseless. There are some codes for the game: recon, retreat and removedebris. Recon and retreat are multi-use. The other isn't.

That is what my tunnel is - 2 lines, but I go from the toybox. I figured to stop the toys before they got to the cookies instead of trying to defend the cookies. :)

I do not upgrade all nets straight away - this allows more rockets, but I do upgrade. The nets are getting thrown fast, so even though it hits one toy at a time, it is shooting the net constantly, so many toys are getting hit. The nets are very good.

To get a really good score you must knock down all your towers before the end of the game. So as the final wave comes out, start knocking down the towers.

This is on the last wave - notice my score, the game glitches and I do not get that amount (bottom image)

Unfortunately, that is a glitch with the game, not TNT reducing the scoring. If you notice the toybox on round 18 or 19, the graphics go weird.

quite a rip-off of desktop tower defense, but I do like that game so I'll let it slide. heh...

what's nice about this game is once your setup is ok you can just leave the game to play itself for a few rounds.

I like this game. Although I get very frustrated when seven or eight rockets fire at an enemy and all miss, it is still fun.

I really like this game!
But my browser hates it. Every time I get about 1500-2000 points the game freezes. It's really frustrating because I would like to try for a good score. But instead I usually just end the game when I get past 1k points to so I can get the 1k neopoints. :(

The scoring issue has been resolved. Where previously I would get about 4k, I got 6200 for basically the same thing last night.

I do very much like this game.
