Hey everyone! Long time no see. Sorry it took me so long to get here, I've been on vacation all summer long in Texas, I go back home on Thursday. Nice to see all my PPT friends here and just as frustrated as I am.

I just decided after a while to play a lil bit of Neo, and sure enough, it seems like the red pteri and I have the same scedule. *giggle*

Hi, Val, welcome back!!!!! We have missed you around these parts. Bet you will be glad to go back home. From what I hear from my co-workers in our main office, it has been one heck of a hot, dry (and now flooded) summer.

Doesn't it seem like TNT could announce an extended downtime like this though? If they KNOW they are switching servers and that the middle of the night (where they are) seemed to be a good time to do it, couldn't they release a statement saying the site would be down?

You'd have thought so although I know a lot of people don't have much faith in TNT announcements because they can't even admit to something having happened afterwards...

For about 11 hours now.

They still are moving to the bigger server. I can guarantee once the transition is 100% complete, things will be a lot better (and less glitchier!)

Personally, I wouldn't "guarantee" anything associated with Neopets right now. Although, it is nice to meet an optimist every once and a while. ;)

how can you guarantee that?

My uncle owns a HUGE online coin store, and the server was really slow and glitchy and stuff, so he moved to another server, and hasn't had a problem since. However, he only gets about ten thousand hits a day, as opposed to millions.

Hey Morningstar! (HUG) Yeah, I've missed being here too, and you are right about the weather. Though I have to admit, the heat hasn't been an issue, it's been unseasonally without "heat" for the majority of the summer, at least not to the degree us North Texans are used to. I was expecting the usual highs of 117F but didn't see anything close. But the rain, wow...that was a shock. We really did get one heck of a flood a few days ago. A month's worth of rain in one night. :o I was spending the night over at my brother's house that night, the power went out on us three times! On the plus side though, my 43-year old brother has gotten addicted to neo., I watched him stay up all night playing. Heh. Now I finally have someone in my family to talk to who understands "my language" and is interested in hearing it.

I can't believe the site is still down. I think neopets should give us all extra gifts and neopets from the snowager every time they go down at that time

the site's still down after..like 12 hours? well, i guess it is better for the site to be taken down till they are done transferring than losing stuff to glitches.

i was re-reading a manga "Full Metal Alchemist" while the site's down and just switched on my PC to check on neopets again. let's hope the wait be worthwhile when we can gain access next time. ;)

It is always nice to have another Neo-addict in the family! Then you aren't always looked at as the crazy one in the family.

Hi Val, welcome back. I dunno if you remember me, I was a low profile lurker when you were posting a lot in the old forum.

Morningstar: I thought you went to bed? Well I was the crazy one in my family that refuse to grow up. :D It is bedtime for me now but I know I can't sleep tonight. :(
