I wonder if you had to beat DD yesterday for Ultimate? If so, I hope all the ultimates here made it through (Pickles did, I think TOSO and Dyl did -- how's everyone else?). I'm crossing my fingers for everyone still trying for megasuperb/spifftastic. If I could get it, I think anyone could with enough time -- I just hope you have enough time! Yay for everyone who's done, and good luck to those still trying.

I'll try to think of any other tips that might help other than perseverance -- oh, and apparently, since you can still get a AAA win for defeating Abi in DD, you might as well play with Abi (though they might be able to tell and give different prizes, so do so at your own risk). For anyone else trying, by the way, you canNOT get extra lives by typing roothless, scram, aaa, abigail, or aristotle.

Next Daily Dare, I might actually try for Ultimate now that I've gotten better at so many games...

P.S. Saturday night, I was so excited in anticipation of DD's release, I actually dreamt the game. It was 3-D, and you controlled both AAA and Abi, who were rolling very quickly (AAA was white, and Abi was bluish); the guard was chasing them. The problem was that AAA kept dissing his sister, and you couldn't stay with both of them, but then AAA would get himself killed and you had to start over -- it was literally impossible. Of course, since it was a dream, it became me rolling little discs around, and I could kind of cheat somehow to pick one up instead of having to start over, and then the finish was back on the computer... At least the rolly part and the guard chasing them part was accurate! (As was the nearly impossible part!).

I'm stunned, but after zillions of tries, I finally beat DD. It was that stupid ICM section, of course, that was blowing it for me. Ironic, since ICM is one of my best games. Can I just say that pretty much every try at DD was pure miserable torture? What a horrid game.

To everyone still trying for Dungeon Dash, I'd just like to say "Don't give up, you can do it!" :) It's not so bad once you get the blocking rules down.

Siniri, I took to headbutting, or more often jumping ontop of with the shield, the ice creams too. It's really useful. I did some practicing last night just to see if I could beat it on a faster computer, and it was much harder but I could do it eventually.

Did you know it's possible to beat the first level with Abi by digging alone? lol Stupid and pointless, but amusing. Admittedly I had to jump for the shield when it turned up.

For people still stuck, here what worked for me (for fast computer):
-DOM level: Mouse on helmet space, keys for everything else. Don't forget you can dig through the blocks. Keep clicking on helmet once you get it.
-ICM: On the loading screen I switched to keyboard only. Like Siniri said, head but or shield attack the ice creams before they can hurt you. Sometimes it's safer to "kangaroo hop" through ice cream blobs with a helmet or shield on rather than roll through it and risk dying.
-SS: For the bad guys, either remember the color (orange helmet = orange kougra) or the letter ('S' for shield and skeith) and keep hitting the button for it until you are past. The bubble is your best friend otherwise. You can also use the shovel on the crates in a pinch but it works like in DOM where you still have to jump or shovel the rest of them.

Gah!!! I HATE THIS GAME!!!

I've played 64 thousand times, (Ok, probably more like 120 or so) and my top score is 4,973.

It's like I'm doomed to play this all night, until they pull the challenges. And I can't take much in the way of breaks, 'cause I'm not sure how long it will be available.

Definitely take a break! It gives your fingers and eyes a rest, and you'll usually do better afterwards. I decided to just destroy all the spiky boxes with the shovel unless I was already above them (in which case, I jumped down and over them, using super-jump if I thought it necessary). In the game I won, I actually demolished 6 boxes just to get rid of one spike. Because I'd saved time earlier using the bubble in the SM and DOM levels, I managed to just avoid getting caught by the guard when I finished.

That happened to me last night...right before I finally got it. It made me just about beat my computer screen in (and my husband laugh a bit...until it happened to him, too).

And, woo! Just did Meepit Vs Feepit. So. Done! Made it for Ultimate 32/32, including DD yesterday!

{goes back to the cheering section and cheers for those still finishing}

Yup, got Ultimate :) Plus yesterday's DD.

Hugs to all my fellow Ultimates and everyone else. Thinking back, this month - with all it's unity and hard work - has kind of felt like a fun class at school with lots of group work. This board was really helpful, thanks to everyone for all the hints and tips!
(On the other hand, it also feels like some strange reality tv-show. Sleepless nights, headache, angst and permanent traumas. It's all there baby).

I finally finished DD!! :D 16 AAA/16 Abigail overall.

What I am most happy about is there were no crappy advert games this year!! :)
Last year's Mimzy glitched on me and ruined my chance for Uberiffic.

I have to agree with everyone who will never play DD again. I think I wasted at least 8 hours on it. I can now do the first three levels in my sleep (with Abigail). ICM was the biggest pain for me. Like Siniri, I finally figured out that I could head-butt the cones with normal jump.

Other tips I figured out that I haven't seen posted yet:
On Snowmuncher, swing the shovel just before the crack of the block before the one you want to hit. Abigail will not slow down at all while running.
For Turmac Roll (?), Use regular jump to get a head-start up the taller hills and use the regular jump for the tree stumps, too. The Spring takes longer to get over and running again.

Both of the above will shave seconds off each level which keeps that invicible guy further and further behind for when you really need the time in the ICM.

EDIT: Also - I'm using Opera and maximize the pop-up window to full-screen, which makes the game double-wide and gives a bit of a preview as to what's coming up!

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

*smashes head into wall*

I can't beat DD-- and it's good to know I'm not the only one with the problem. Not that I can't play it (I've beaten the ICM level reliably several times by now) but because, of course-- the game hangs right at the end... On my MacBook. I can play every single other game on my MacBook (and I did, during holiday, since I didn't have access to my PC), but Dungeon Dash? Ugh.

I even tried playing it on my PC. Unfortunately, IE has a problem handling Flash (for some inscrutable reason, so there goes that option), and, of course, the Firefox PC version just winds up locking up midway through the first level (second level, when I circumvented the normal game box and set quality to low-- almost made it look like it would work. Almost). NOT FAIR.

I know I can beat that game, too... Urgh.

My total's sitting at 6/26, because I'm not much of a Flash player anymore (never mind simply not having time to keep practicing until I can beat AAA's scores), and sadly, I messed up on my score submission for one of the games, so a mere Spifftastic for me. (Also, no Roothless Challenge, due to... well, whatever). Hope that failing the complete the Roothless Challenge doesn't affect the DD reward itself (as Roothless himself said it would) because of the bug...

What score do you need to beat Roothless? Or do you just have to go through all the DD levels?

5000 -- which is, in fact, finishing all the levels. :)

How in the heck are you supposed to use the keyboard in this one? I can't get my hands in the right positions, let alone play with them!

Edit: Game not loading. Guess everyone is trying to beat it now!
Is there any prize for the game?
