Re: Daily Dare [Split 5]
Kat, I ended up switching to the keyboard, and used xcv with my left hand, and bn with my right -- I alternated which thumb did the jumping based on level. It definitely gave me weird cramps in my fingers and hand, but it was the only way I could get it done.
Yay, for Ruby, Blue, Munduses, and BettyWales! [hands them a cookie each]
The lag on Neopets has gotten terrible over the last hour -- I hope those still trying can play alright.

You know what? The one best thing I've gotten from this whole playing and playing around with all kinds of games, are the prizes. Because they finally got me the Packrat avatar. Finally. I mean, I've only been holding onto everything possible for about two years now, or what... Yay.
Carefully selected. Or just shoving it all to your face.

Hey, that's exactly how I wound up using the keyboard! It was the only way I could get it, too!
MMMmm cookies! Thanks!

Actually, someone else posted that here on PPT, and it worked for me. I should have given credit, but I don't remember who it was. So thanks, everyone, for all the tips. (Ow, must stop typing -- hands still cramping!)
Oh, and the prize box for Roothless has been edited to say "coming soon." So yay for more prizes -- it was definitely worth more than the 1k! (Did anyone who sent lower scores note the NP ratio, by the way?)

Re: Daily Dare [Split 5]
I finally beat the game! Earlier today, I made it up to about 4900 points but then I missed a click of the bubble and hit one of the spikes. I'm so glad that's behind me now!

Re: Daily Dare [Split 5]
I dont think i could have done two hands on the keyboard that close it was easier for me to use the xvcb on the keyboard and the mouse for the last item (shield) but that's just me..... I won't tell you how many times I had to growl cause I had my fingers on the home row instead of the darn game keys tho!
And I really do think the ice cream level was the hardest for some reason. The last level wasnt so hard as it was accidentally hitting the wrong item with the skeith/kougra's
Good luck to any still working on the game!!

Re: Daily Dare [Split 5]
The game is still glitched for me, and I have to go to bed in two hours. No access to a Windows computer. This is so unfair, I can't stand it.

I hope they somehow extend the deadline for a decent amount of time after they make it compatible with non-Windows O/S. (Has Microsoft bought Viacom or something?). I'm assuming you already sent in a bug report, but I'd keep sending them in (at least one/day).

IMHO, the ice cream level was definately the hardest. Even after figuring out what button went to which shield, it was nearly impossible to tell which shield to use because a lot of the ice cream cones seemed to be right in between. Also, sometimes two cones would be right next to each other at different heights. Impossible to use both shields at once. What makes it even worse is that many of the columns are too tall to use the regular jump. When you use the spring super jump, the shield immediately disappears. I got into the habit of pushing "b" (helmet) immediately after "v" (big jump) every time whether I needed it or not. (On DOM, too).
Disclaimer: This information is of course from recent bad memories that I am trying to purge now...
Now, where's that melon-baller?

I've sent in two so far, one last night and one tonight.
And oh joy, there's a thunderstorm outside now.
If the prizes are awarded tomorrow and they act like nothing was ever wrong with their crappy little game, I'll probably either cry or cuss them out in Latin. Or both.

I'd send a score -- they fixed the glitch so that those who beat it in their second or third play still got credit, even if they sent a previous score. At least you'll get credit for trying if they are too stupid to acknowledge the problem (and hey, at least that way you'll get some NP out of it if nothing else). Sorry, that last part was lame -- just trying to make you laugh by showing you the "bright side."

If it makes you feel any better, we couldn't get it working on our Ubuntu machine today, either.
And congrats on beating it Byakuya!
{puts out a freshly baked plate of brownies} For those of you still trying...and for those that have finished.
Re: Daily Dare [Split 5]
this is so frusterating... i keep getting 670s and 690s in kiko match... im almost tempted to pay someone to beat KM2 for me... if only that were allowed lol =P

Nah, it's not lame. I appreciate it very much.
