The shop wiz looks normal but when you search for something and click to take you to the person's shop to buy it, it sends you to your shop instead.

And the buddy doesn't do much other than occasionally pop up on your screen giving you some "advice."

edit: Bug eye just told me twice to "get away" from him and that he's glad he's not one of my neopets and he keeps getting bigger as well.

Lame. At least some of Bug-Eye Magee's quotes are mildly amusing. And at least it's not a true pop-up; you can click on anything the picture doesn't cover. But it's getting really annoying trying to do my dailies.

I don't think you really actually ever got charged in Neocharge -- I thought it took you to a page where they said April Fools when you went to pay (I'm not sure though -- it's been a while -- at least that's what I expected when I clicked to pay to see how they continued the joke).

Although, the technology used to make the little pop ups and such might be put to use later on in the game. Maybe this event is being used to test the pop ups for another reason?

No all did. I heard a minor group of people got someone else during my surf on the HC. I wish there was a way to get rid of him. He's being really annoying right now because he keeps stalking me, either shrieking how he had enough of me or giving me useless tips.

Does the joke have any effect on premium users? I took the quiz and have been doing all my dailies and I haven't got a single popup.
