I'm glad to see so many people sticking to their teams. I went with the newbie team last year and our performance blew me away. I have to stay loyal, despite the amount of trash that is slung Shenkuu's way.

Anyway, now for the speculating... does the official cup start on Thursday... or can we start practicing earlier? :) I'm betting signups start Thursday, and the first official match will be on Monday, giving up 3 days to practice before the games begin.

The "Coming Soon" trailer says 6.12.08... That is a Thursday. Last year, the cup updated at midnight NST, not with the news. I don't think we'll be lucky enough to get into Cup signups until Thursday.

I played hard for Shenkuu last time, and I mean to do the same this time out as well.

I still haven't picked which team I'd like to support either. More bribes are needed...

Do they have a description of the teams and players out yet? I also haven't decided yet, but I don't want to support a team known for its cheating or unsportsmanlike play.
I, on the other hand, am open to bribes to help me decide between the fair-playing teams.

Ah, looks like we are going to have the Altador Cup this year. Huzzah! Hope I can decide between Mystery Island and Krawk Island by the 12th, even if nothing actually starts then.

For those of you wanting to cheer on your team in Latin, which they probably understand in Altador since it's somewhat based on Roman civilization, here's some phrases taken from the book Latin For All Occasions by Henry Beard.

"First and ten, do it again!"
Primum et decem! Iterum agendum!

"DEEEE-fense!"
DeFENNNN-sio!

"Pursue them, pursue them, make them relinquish the ball!"
Sequimini, sequimini, facite ut pilam relinquant!

"Repel them, expel them, compel them to retreat!"
Illos repellite, expillite, compillite ad fugiendum!

"Oh, would that we would score!"
Utinam vincamus!

"We have been wanting and shall continue to want a touchdown!" (or goal, I guess)
Volebamus atque volemus pilam trans metas deponi!

"All right, all right! Way to go, way to go!"
Bene, bene! Eugepae, eugepae!

"The ball is in your court!"
Pila in area tua est!

"We had a wardrobe malfunction!"
Lapsum vestius passi sumus!

And in case your team doesn't make it:

"Well, you win some, you lose some."
Modo vincimus, modo vincimur.

I'm so glad they've given us a date! I wonder if the fact that it's starting two weeks later than last year means that it won't be a double round robin? Fingers crossed!

Although actually I'll be away for three days the following week, at least if it's as long as last year I'll have more chance to catch up!

In the first cup, it was Brightvale. In the second they apparently stopped cheating, or learned to do it surreptitiously.

And yes, I happen to be a Brightvale supporter :D

Hi, I would like to do some artwork for the random contest or just for fun and I would like to have some links to any of the teams, etc. So if you know what exists on the site and have a link to it, please post. I need something to look at.
