Wiiware

#1 Post by Jasujo »

Wiiware is finally released. <3 There's a good article on the new games at IGN. Has anyone downloaded any of the new games yet? I just got LostWinds, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as King, and Defend Your Castle. There's a definite space issue, though. We had a bit over 1000 blocks free and after the 3 new games are down to 364. :/ It'd be really nice of Nintendo offered some sort of harddrive since more Wiiware games are supposedly going to be released every Monday. Depending on size, we can fit one maybe two new games after today. :(

We have LostWinds...I think it's really cute. My boyfriend says Defend Your Castle is okay but not necessarily worth the money. How is Final Fantasy?

I really like the Final Fantasy game. It's like a fantasy city sim. :) It's super addicting, too. I keep telling myself I'll just read the reports for the next day. Then I figure I'm close to unlocking a new building, so minds well play one more day. Wash, rinse, repeat. haha You don't fight, but you send your adventurers out and they gather resources and unlock new things for you to build. You can wander about your city and "talk" to your citizens. It's pretty fun. :)

The only Wiiware I have and plan on having (although Rockman 9 is a good classic I'd watch) is My Pokemon Ranch. It is essentially a Pokemon box where you can trade for rare and exclusive Pokemon with the ranch owner. Saves a lot of time breeding and importing to you DPP (Diamond, Pearl and Platinum) games. I am 50% from a Fione and about 10% from a Mew. Not a must have, even for Pokemasters, but it is still fun to see all of the funny sprites, innuendo, humans riding Pokemon, and Pokemon attacking humans (finally!) that goes on if you just let it run.

A couple friends and I have My Pokemon Ranch. There's not much to do, but watching the pokemon run around, play with things, and attack each other/the miis is fun, imo. :) If someone on your friendlist has a ranch, too, occasionally they will come to visit yours and you can visit theirs. We've added our Miis to the ranch and the girls can watch all the pokemon play for hours. haha
