My bet is they released nothing on it because it looked like a boring, generic RTS the last time they showed anything on it, and it's not improved.
They showed a demo of it. It just wasn't in the press conference.

A nice Joystiq article on Miyamoto's feelings about E3. His same dislike for E3 is the same reason I am wary of the expo nowadays. It was a good idea to close the convention off more in recent years, but it still feels overhyped.
